Just got back from the show! And what a performance it was. They played the same set list as they've been doing, no surprises there. I have to say, as any musician could tell you, that every musician has nights where they're on, night's when they're off, and so forth. Tonight I'm delighted to say that all of the boys were ON! Each member of the band hit every beat, every lick, every squeal. I've seen AC/DC play six times now, the first time was in 1980, the last time before tonight was in 1991. Even after all this time, they are right on the money. The sound was great, the light show was good, and the overall performance was fantastic! Every bit as good as 29 years ago, without a doubt.
If I were to run into these guys on the street, and had the chance to tell them anything, I would say to them, "Thank you for coming back out again!" And to anyone who has AC/DC coming to a town near you, and you don't have tickets yet, get 'em now! You won't be disappointed!

Saw the show (again) at The Palace last night.
This time on the floor, three rows away from the "Round-up", (Angus' side.) All the action, power and sheer energy is there. And don't let no one fool you.
Brian Johnson's voice (at times) sounds shot. NOTE: If he put a Riccola in his bong (ALLEGEDLY!!), his throat MIGHT sound better, but the sound, and tone of Angus' SG more than makes up for it. Malcolm Young, Phil Rudd, and Cliff Williams are hardly side players. Collectively, it's these three that are driving the show, while Angus, and Johnson are front & center. PS: If anyone can figure out how Phil Rudd can play the skins like an animal, ALL the while working Marlboros to every song, is a sight unto itself. They ought to put a "Heater" Count, the way they do "Shots on Goal" during a NHL game. You know, just to see how many he cigs he suck down in a night.
Let me tell ya, there are a lot of "Guitar Gods", but there is only ONE Angus Young.
To see the guy give the energy throughout EVERY fucking song, and literally be able to see the sweat soaked SG, (up close) is RIDICULOUS!!!
What's amazing is that Angus is on stage the entire show. He only gets a breather during the encore break. It's not say, The Stones, or Van Halen, where there are other band member solos that allow A. Young to grab some oxygen. The guy is, for the most part, the sound, and core of the group. It's not only his playing, it's the manic energy he brings with it. It just downright SICK seeing this MOFO doing the do at age 54.
BTW, "Dog Eat Dog". Best song of the entire night (IMO). Don't get me wrong. They were all great. But if you asked me to pick out one, "DED" is it.
One note: AC/DC took the stage at 9 PM. In November, 2008, they went on at 8:30 PM. Be at your seat before then. You DO NOT want to miss the anime' that kicks off their set.
Bring yer air guitar, kiddies. You're gonna need it!!!

AC/DC Rocks! What a Fabulous performance, they were awesome. They truly give it their all, plus some. This was my second time seeing them in concert and what can I say they blew us away again! I only regret that I never went to see them in their younger years. THANK YOU AC/DC for coming back!
Brian and Angus seemed be having as much, if not more, fun as the fans. You can surely tell they enjoy what they do, and that is rock! Angus, wow what can I say, he never stopped; he just seemed to get stronger as the night went on. He surely puts on a wonderful show and believe me you won't be disappointed. All the while Malcolm, Phil, and Cliff keep right on with them. These guys were definitely right on!
In November I took my son and they just blew us away. Both shows were worth every dime! When we heard they were coming back we couldn't wait to get tickets. I think Sundays show had even more energy than in November if that is possible.
This time I also took my daughter and her boyfriend and they were amazed at what a great show it was. However, they were a bit worried that Brian or Angus was going to collapse on stage. They are half their age and they didn't think they could have kept going for as long as they did, (they even workout regularly). When the show is over you feel like you just had a workout, just from watching these guys. They were also amazed at how Phil just kept puffing on his cigarettes and never missed a beat.

AC/DC have set the bar quite high for themselves, and as a result have to deliver. As Angus has often quoted Yosemite Sam,"I paid to see the high diving act, and I'm-a-gonna see the high diving act." Well on Sunday night here at the Palace of Auburn Hills they sure delivered! The band is obviously older now, Angus doesn't move around the stage as much as he used too, but he more than makes up for it in his playing, as one of the true great rock guitar gods. He didn't miss a note. The show has always been all Angus anyway since day one. Brian's voice sounded fine, but from where I was sitting the sound was very bass heavy and constantly distorted. The only criticism here is that in a concrete cave like most sports arenas are, and where most of the shows take place, you don't need that much volume for the sound to carry and as result start distorting. Just about everyone I talked to would prefer less volume and more clarity of sound. Also they really need to drop the opening act. This is no slam against The Answer, who opened up for them, they certainly gave it their all, but everyone is there to see AC/DC, and since the scumbags at Live Nation always book major acts on a weeknight here in Detroit, it always means that the crowds will be getting home very late indeed. Get the band on at 7:30PM, not 9:00PM
The set list doesn't vary at any of the shows on this tour, and that's fine with one exception. While Anything Goes is a great album track, the song just doesn't work performed live, and should have been dropped from the set long ago. Getting the band on at an early start time would also allow them to play a couple of extra tunes, preferably from Brian's era. Most people thought there were to many songs being played off of Black Ice, but again with the exception of Anything Goes they all sounded great! During the The Jack the camera scans the audience to pick up on the local talent that attends the show. Let's face the girls, God love 'em, really do dress for the show, and the band could have really taken advantage of this by substituting a song like Money Made for Anything Goes and inviting the local talent to dance on stage, that would have made for some lasting memories for sure. But all this is nit picking. If you have seen the show on this current tour,or are about to, you will soon see why AC/DC are the greatest rock band ever to have been, or will be. Period!

This show was amazing! I am a 13 year old and I also saw them last November when they came to Detroit. This band blows me away; they still act like they did 20 years ago! Angus- Still wild as ever! And Brian still sounds the same. It was definitely worth it and I would recommend this show for any AC/DC fan! My seats were killer too; Section A Row 20 RIGHT BY THE CATWALK! This show was the best I've seen yet!

Greatest Concert In The World. Changed My Whole View On What A Concert Should Be Like And How A Band Should Interact With The Audience. I Will Never Forget This Concert. It Was Always A Dream Of Mine To See Them Live. And It Was More Of An Honour To See Them Play. Hopefully They Will Come Out With Another Album And Do Another Tour. Because I Would Totally Love To See Them A Third Time Live. AC/DC RULES!
