What a feeling, being a part of this concert last night. Being there and seeing AC/DC with my dad was one the best feelings of my life.
These guys seem to never disappoint, they were dead on. Angus, u r truly a God when it comes to the guitar man!
Favs for me on the night where Dirty Deeds, Thunderstruck, Shoot To Thrill, The Jack and Rock n Roll Train!

One of my first concerts was AC/DC in 1988, I could not wait to see them again in 2008, 20 years later, and it was great! The boys were a little slower than 20 years ago, but the best concert I have seen in years.

I've been to every show in Detroit since 1980 and this was great. Brian swinging on the bell reminded me when he opened the show at Cobo in November of 81' by banging on it with a sledge hammer. AWESOME! My wife made the big screen too. She was the blonde with the AC/DC corset on. Does anyone have a picture of it?

Wow..a fantastic show. Set list very much like Indy. Brian's voice was dead on and Angus had the usual high energy and solid licks we have known for years. Do NOT miss if they come to your city! Best of 2008!

Wow ! Awesome !
Just got back to Toronto after driving on the 401 (Highway To Hell) for 4.5 hours from Auburn Hills, MI. AC/DC kicked ass and were great last night.
My faves of the night were:

and Highway
Be at the dome in Toronto for sure on Friday night !!!

We took our 2 boys 8 & 10 to this show. Their very first concert. They loved it and so did we. My 8 year old said he thought the special effects were awesome!
They can still rock. My husband & I are in our 40's now and saw the band many times many years ago. We still LOVE them.

AC/DC was absolutely awesome last night. Those old guys are in great shape and ROCKED THE HOUSE. Took my friend, my favorite nephew and my 14 year old too.
Oh, yeah......I liked it .....a lot!

FUCKING SICK !!!
The show began (apx 8:25) with a five minute anime' involving the current line-up on a train, with some women. (I can't add much more, except that what these women do "Anime' Angus" just ain't right.)
The bit ends and the show begins with "R 'n R Train" (natch), which brought the sold-out Palace crowd to it's feet for the next hour & a half.
The setlist doesn't stray from what was posted from previous shows. The jumbo-trons (four of 'em) that make up the stage provided a crystal clear, blue-ray view of everything we could see from the upper bowl. (We sat in section 203, but we were in the Row 3, Seats 1-4. Believe me, I'm not bitching about it either. Considering that "The Devil" wanted no less than $300 EACH for back of the house lower bowl seats, and my co-worker scored them at face during the general sale.) Two of the jumbo trons were very similar to the ones that The Stones used on their "40 Licks" stadium tour. (If you didn't see that tour, try to imagine the biggest building in the city where you live. Replace that building with a live image of Angus Young just going NUTS on his "SG" for 18 songs. How's that for a visual, kiddies?) Here's a bonus: Be sure not to miss the camera angle at the end of "Thunderstruck". Totally bitchin.
The entire "cast" was there to boost this smoking rocker of a show. "R 'n R Train" (the main stage backdrop), "Swingin Bell", "Flames", and "The Thunderbolt", Bon Scott (you figure out what song he "appears" in), and of course, Blow-up doll "Rosie". Complete with, em, ah, how shall we say, "moving parts".
I'll say this. I'm not into aerobics, but for an hour and half at the Palace, I felt like Angus Young was making me do a workout of "Sweatin to the Oldies".
Only it wasn't to the whiney yell of Richard Simmons.
It was to the growl of AC/DC.

Great show, great visuals, and loud, very loud, even in the nosebleed seats. My only complaint, and this is big for me, the show was over at 10:10. Even though AC/DC played for 90 plus minutes, I expected the show to last at least until 10:30. I'm used to going to outdoor shows that have curfews at 11:00 and most bands play right up to that time limit. With this being indoors on a warm fall night, with no curfews to deal with, I thought AC/DC would play for 2 hours... DVDs' "Live At Donington" and "No Bull" go for 2 hours. Anybody going to future shows beware that AC/DC may come on by 8:30 like they did in Detroit. I was in the show by 7:30 but ending at 10:10 makes for a short night.
Opener... "Rock 'n Roll Train," closer... "For Those About To Rock."

It was great to see them again. Took my kids. Seats were great, show was fantastic and they sounded just awesome. What I love about AC/DC concerts is that they not only sound as good as the albums, but they really care that we are having a great time. Thank you boys for all you do. If they come back to Michigan, I will see them again.
