I've been going to rock concerts since 1972, I've seen them all, but this show was the best I ever saw. I took my 16 year old son, who is also a huge AC/DC fan, and sat on the main floor. From the time the band came on stage until the final cannon went off, it was pure, hard, pounding rock & roll. Every song, every chord, just made your heart pound. I waited a long time to see them (I could never get tickets) but this night was worth the wait. I've always told my son, your never to old for rock & roll, Angus and the guys proved it that night. Thanks for a great show!!

Well well well... My long awaited rendezvous with the band finally came with excitement and glee. They were back (in black) at the Palace of Auburn Hills and everyone there seemed as excited as I was. Almost nervous (shakedown). We were among the lucky ones with reserved suite tickets in hand and seats that were perfect for viewing. Slash and Snake Pit opened the show as the Palace was filled with AC/DC fans who were there to see them. It was merely a teaser act with mostly lame music being belted out. Nonetheless, they tried to rock the house (is on fire) but faired lets say - Fair to Midland at best. Their half hour set ended just in time before mere boredom set in. We wanted to see AC/DC - a band that I have seen since 1980 on every tour and have NOT missed one tour since then. 20 years of AC/DC tours and now they are back in OUR house DETROIT, commonly known as a band favorite to play for, even taping a show for MTV at one time during the For Those About To Rock tour at Joe Louis Arena in 82'.

The usual 'hide and seek' game Angus plays in the beginning of the show did not happen. The simply kicked all of our asses! Walked out on stage to a crowd hungry to hear them again. The lights went on stage and they lit the crowd lights on us as if to say " No no, THANK YOU!!" They all walked on stage together, did a bow and just kicked ass by playing "You Shook Me.." Not missing a beat, note or duck-walk, they played better than I had heard them EVER before. That is as serious as I can be people, they played like complete musicians and sounded that way. A surprise to me was hearing for the first time "GET IT HOT"!!! OH my.... A classic to any true AC/DC fans liking, I could almost hear Bon singing that classic line ... "Gotta whole lotta booze..." and they blew me off my feet. I had to restrain the tears. As the show went on I realized that they were not going to do anything that would be "out of the normal" for the band to do - in fact doing what they do best - ROCK. And Rock they did by playing the classic "Bad Boy Boogie" and " Hell ain't a Bad Place to be.." Wow- the beginning of those songs sounded EXACT to the recordings. The whole show was filled with great AC/DC songs that made everyone cheer for more. One song missing that I was amazed by was the song "Sin City" - Still a very popular song here in the Motor City. However - hearing "Get it Hot" was worth the missing song since I have heard that song before live.

On a side note: I have mentioned that I have not missed a show since the 80's and have been used to seeing Angus just running around like a mad man (what else do you expect?!!!). This time around I notice a bit of reservation, a maturity if you will. I counted one time that he fell to the ground and flopped around, 4 times he did his duck walk and only one solo. Is this a bad thing?? NO FREAKIN WAY!!! His age may be catching up to him however the routine is honed and solid and does what he does best when it counts. He is a master guitar player and is among the LAST entertainers that can SINGLE HANDED catch an entire audience attention and mesmerize them. His antics of stirring one side of the crowd up and running to the other side and doing that to them is still a crowd favorite and he has not lost his touch. I hoped that he would do more on the soloing however that is me being selfish.
THEY STILL ROCK EVERYONE!!!! MALCOLM WAS AS SOLID AS EVER AND PHIL WAS RIGHT ON!!!!. PLEASE DON'T MISS THEIR SHOW... WELL WORTH THE EFFORT!!!! GO ANGUS!!!!!

What more can u say except they are simply the best! I seen the show in Detroit and they didn't miss a beat. The sound quality was the best I've ever heard. Angus sounded like he was 25 years old again. I hope they do a second leg of the tour, and come back to Detroit, because AC/DC ROCKS!!!!

Excellent show last night at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Some of the highlights were "Bad Boy Boogie" and "Let there be Rock". I enjoyed the show but my huge beef was the prices of the merchandise such as t-shirts starting out at $32 and the average cost being $40. I understand but please make them somewhat affordable it is almost as bad a beer prices!!! Angus was great hope they come back again.

After a long wait of 4 years, the greatest rock band in the world returned to Detroit and rocked their hearts out. The show was fantastic, but what else would you expect from AC/DC? The play list was decent, but I was hoping for a couple of more songs from Stiff Upper Lip (wouldn't "Give it Up" or "Safe in NY City" have sounded great!) and a couple more from Razor's Edge ("Are you Ready" and "Razor's Edge). They could slash the snakepit from the bill and just play great AC/DC music for 2 and half hours, but even then I could probably think of another 10-15 songs they could've done. I just hope they don't wait another 4 years to return to Detroit.

It was an excellent concert!!! Brian Johnson's rocking voice even sounded better than ever before. Angus Young wasn't as active on stage as he used to be! But this concert is a must. Everybody felt the power of heavy Rock 'n Roll. AC/DC proved to be more than just a milestone in Rock History

WOW!!! What an absolutely amazing show. From the first chords of You Shook Me.. to the blasts of the cannons of For Those About To Rock, AC/DC was absolutely spectacular. Brian's voice has never sounded better and ripped out the solos just like they were on the albums. It was the best rock show ever!! If you have a chance to see the Stiff Upper Lip tour, you have to go. It will be the best 2 hours of your life.

Even though we had seats in the highest row of the Palace AC/DC ROCKED! I have been waiting for this concert for ever and it was worth it. Some of my favorite songs were "The Jack", "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", and "Highway to Hell". Angus was awesome and he was great to watch. The best song by far was "For Those About To Rock", what a rush when those cannons went off!! Brian Johnson is the BEST and he knows how to have a good time. There is no band even close to rocking as hard as AC/DC. One song I wish they would have played is "Have a Drink on Me". A must see concert!!
