I attended Ryde Youth Club for years. It was a fantastic venue for new Aussie bands. I'll never forget this night. I was right at the front of the stage and the show was one of the best ever held there. The no alcohol venue was packed with teenagers. My claim to fame on this night was that I managed to get some of Angus's sweat on me whilst singing High Voltage.

I was 13 and living in North Ryde so Ryde youth center was our under age music venue. My mate Rosey and I went, I remember bikies turning up and Bon Scott screaming at us for being backstage and throwing his drink in Rosey's eyes. Don't know what it was but nearly blinded him, then chased by members of Rose Tattoo - don't remember but maybe they were support band. We thought they were a bit of a Westies Bougan band for biker types but now I love them for their blues riffs and energy... good old youth center for bands.
