The show in Hannover was my 5th show on the Black Ice tour. And it's the first time ever the band disappointed me.

Why? Due to the bad location and the fact that 80.000 tickets have been sold for a place, where only 60.000 people had the chance to see the stage. And this overselling is simply the responsibility of the band.

I have always paid the high prices for I knew I'd get a great show. But this time it was a complete rip off.

The show in general seemed ok, even though there were no surprises in the setlist. Audience reactions on the performance were ok too, but not outstanding.

For sure my last AC/DC open air...

It was my third concert from the Black Ice Tour after Bremen and Gelsenkirchen in 2009. No surprise: the guys were very good like the audience too. The audience in Germany is always quiet. You can stay with children in the first rows and remain at your place all the concert long. You have no public motion like in France for example.
I am waiting for the next concert in Paris the 18th June!

The mighty AC/DC rocked my socks off this night. Too bad Hannover Messe was such a freaking MESS! The stage was very hard to see for almost everybody, everybody was complaining about this. We payed good money and traveled a long way to see AC/DC and this was a big disappointment. I had to watch the screens the whole time, I got perhaps a few views of the stage while jumping. We were at the concert 6 hours prior to the show and still bad view.

Parking at Hannover Messe was a nightmare too, it seriously took us 2 hours and 20 minutes to get off the parking lot! This beat the previous record for 2 hours at Iron Maiden in Assen, Netherlands. So if you want to go see AC/DC or any band in Germany, skip Messe and go to some arena gig! Berlin for example!

Well, what can I say? Hannover Messe, it was very messy!I have been following the boys around the U.K and Europe since the early eighties and this has to be by far the worst venue I have ever had the misfortune to visit. Did anyone involved with the band visit the site prior to the gig to see if it was fit for purpose? and whoever decided to put the stage in front of a huge concrete column needs a kick up the arse. There were even beer stalls situated in the middle of the crowd restricting views even more. We traveled a long way and paid, what now seems like an extortionate amount of money to watch the band on the big screens. I did at one point manage to see the bottom half of Cliff's legs at one point so maybe I shouldn't complain!

Having said all that we were situated behind and to the right of the concrete column which had a huge speaker system hanging from it so at least the sound was good and even though we couldn't see much we rocked our socks off!

Note to AC/DC management... can I have my money back?
