Fantastic show! These guys are rock! Crowd was really into it, so was I...
I've seen AC/DC a number of times now and they can be counted on to provide a great show. If I have a complaint, it would have to be that there was only one date in western Canada (and maybe that beer was rationed). Half the folks I spoke to weren’t even from Vancouver! Guys, another leg to the tour? There will be no problem selling out a few more dates. I’ll be there.

We are very disappointed that there are no plans so far to have another show in Vancouver, BC. You sold out Toronto's Rodgers Center twice, not the hockey arena, and the venue in Vancouver would have sold out BC Place 2 times easily and GM place over and over, seeing as this is the only stop in western Canada. It is very disappointing for my family as we tried to purchase tickets by 2 cell phones and 4 computers and was unable to do so as the concert sold out so quickly(4 minutes). I have seen AC/DC every time they have come to Vancouver since the 90's. I am 35 years old and grew up with AC/DC and want to see them again before they call it quits. I know concert schedules are hard to adjust but if you are thinking of a second show in Vancouver maybe BC place would be a better venue. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the turn out. I hope you reconsider and come back to Vancouver; we love you guys and would consider it an honor to have you back.
I have read every review and talked to all of my friends that did manage to get tickets and the show was "one for all times" which I knew it would be. Good luck with the rest of the tour and look forward to seeing you in Vancouver in 2009!!!Keep the Train rollin'!

What can I say other than yet another great show by a great band. It was my third time seeing accadacca and they still amaze me every time. The crowd was pumped up and very diverse. Before the show outside GM Place a local radio station set up AC/DC karaoke, and watching drunks do their best Brian impression was classic. Once we got inside T-shirt stands were set up every 100 ft or so, and devil horns were everywhere. Once at my seat, to my left was a guy who saw them in '76 in Sydney, and to my right were a group of 15 year old AC/DC virgins. Very diverse crowd indeed. As far as the concert went, it was awesome. The loudest stadium concert I've ever seen (and I've seen hundreds of shows). After 2 days of rest the band was on fire, Brian's voice was as strong as I've heard it since 1981 and Angus was a maniac as usual. The only disappointment of the night was no surprises with the setlist. I mean they have recorded their last 3 albums in Vancouver, many were hoping for a "treat". Oh well. As far as the new songs go I have to be honest, Big Jack and Black Ice were forgettable. War Machine, however, is one of those rare songs that sounds even better live than on the album. The animated bombers in the background for war machine were pretty cool. Anyways, time now to recover. My ears are ringing, my head is throbbing and my neck and arms are tired from "rocking out". Thank-you boys, come back soon!!

Well it started off with a few beers at my house with my sister. A cold balmy no sky same old Vancouver Island feeling to it. So it was hard to get into it. Until I was thrown back in line waiting for the ferry... This was the last ferry to make it to the mainland. IF you missed this one, you missed the show. So I'm talking to my sister. I tell her "You know I don't think there is goin to be a lot of fans coming from the area to the show. I'm in the middle of telling her that the prairies ppl from the Northern States will most likely grab some of the tickets. Well as soon as I said the word AC/DC. I was wrong! The whole line we were waiting in was all going...I had highfives, stories of the 80's from the oldies and first timers like myself all geared up and pumped. This Ferry WAS the last train of Rock and Roll's salute to Legends of Rock History! As soon as I was getting on the ferry, there were so many fans. I screamed Angus as soon as I got on, and it was heard throughout the ferry afterwards. Angus Angus Angus! There were also a few conservative artsy people like Vancouver Island has. All with disgust in their eyes. MY sister laughed at me as we were standing in line waiting for some food. I'm singing Rock n Roll Singer. Are You Ready, For those About to Rock. When two randoms jump in and scream in full chorus. The Ferry staff knew this was goin to be a rowdy loud time for the next hour and a half
After were finished, I told them if they wanted, I was going up stairs where the refreshments are being served. As I get up stairs outside where it's pouring rain and wind from a Witch's thorax. At least 50 ppl all pumped for the show. I jump in and notice an older guy who had his Cd player pumping a mp3 disc of all AC/DC in the corner. I go right past the younger crowd and do the one foot Angus Stomp yelling OY OY OY to Dirty Deeds on the CD. He throws me a beer and we talked about the 18 shows he has seen since he was 16. This Guy breaths AC/DC!!! You should of seen his buddies. One was so hard from Rock n Roll for over 20 years. He's on all sorts of meds, re covering alcoholic. Drug rehab. The man had seen everything, from Maiden, Black Sabbath "Ozzie and Dio" Metallica, Scorpions, Motley, Kiss, Zep, GnR, Halen....to name a few. The stories he had would put a Rolling Stone cover on the life and times of Bon Scott to shame!!! I knew in my heart this is where I needed to be. So as I was finishing a few reebs, lit my first J-stopher in over 2 years. It was time to unload. My sister wasn’t sure how to take the whole thing, she just wanted to get to GM Place as quickly as we could. We didn't know what we were doing after the ferry landed. Take a bus fight traffic sorta thing. SO I asked buddy I hung out with, if we could hitch a ride. So here we are with two old washed-out rockers, in a brand new Dodge Ram Hemi, with a $10,000 stereo system in it cranking AC/DC all through out Vancouver on the way to GM Place
There has never been a time where Angus was screamed full throttle with the sounds of Gone Shootin, This house is on Fire, in the background. At one point we had three cars all screaming Angus. This was our night!!! the highlight was a cop on a bike with his hand in the air saluting us in the cars goin by.
As we got to GM Place, buddies knew there was no love in anything more than to get to the show. Last I seen of them. So now as were waiting in the rain to get into the arena. I'm singing Nervous Shakedown. with a few ppl joining in. Not a lot knew the song, it kinda let me down, but then how many ppl live ANGUS! As we got in, the line up for the T-shirts memorabilia stand was incredible! Absolutely insane! So as good ppl me my sister and her bf we stood in line. I gave my money to them to go grab some reebs while we stand here, so after an hour of standing in line 3 beers later. Tons of Angus,We want the Rock chants. The shirt line was sold out! Sooo pissed off. Immediately it was hunt for the shirt stand test. We ended up gettin into line somewhere else, but this time it was STONER Bashing time.
The squeezing, ass grabbing, moving of ppl out of the way was nutter! We ended up gettin the shirts, but at a cost. I lost two beer along the way. So my sister is trying to see through the masses of where a bathroom is, I tell her go for it, I'll stand around here just rockin to the crowd. Well let me tell you, that had to be some of the best moments of the show I'm standing with a Who Made Who 1986 shirt on, the only retro AC/DC shirt I could see out there, and one of the only few ppl who was singing and gettin ppl pumped for the show. I ended up chanting Cliff Williams/Phil Rudd chants. Asking random ppl who they were, and these somewhat apparent "Hard Rockers" show up, they looked pure out of FUBAR. right up to me. 4 of these kids. They were such the biggest Posers. There trying to poke at my shirt saying that I probably wasn't there and what not. Funny thing about it all, the big guy. Has AC/DC tatoo on his forearm and had the balls to show me. His one friend is telling me, that who made who was made in 82. 82!? try 84 you EMO/ROCK posers. That's when he shows me his tatoo. I looked at it and told the guy a tattoo doesn't make the man or fan. I told him it looked good though with his MASS Superman Tattoo on his shoulder. Asked him if Shaq did that one for him to. It was almost Fista Cuffatus. When a few ppl around saw what was goin on, and knew I wasn't backing down. Jumped in and joined the Force. These cocky wannabes wanted nothing to do with the crowd. I looked at the big guy and told him. IF he wanted to I'd be waiting at the Jumbo tron outside advertising the events. Spoling for a Fight will be had you posin' jerks.
I was on fire! It was Bedlam in Belgium!!! The boys that had my back, were fans from the glory years. As they heard the comment on Who made Who they jumped right in. I felt like I was in a movie!!! Buddy buys me a beer. I'm still waiting for my sister and her fiance remind you. I'm soo cut. Singing whatever came to mind, long way to the top mixed with back and black. The coolest dudes I saw was two guys all dressed from head to toe in RED. with AC on their chests, and DC on their backs. the three of us are trying to do the one foot stomp. Probably the most entertaining thing everyone seen on the outside of the show. I saluted the crowd of ppl in line for beer and then it was on to the show!
The first 5 seconds of when they took stage, the crowd was literally stunned. 10 years since anyone in that arena had seen them. As it appeared. People knew this was the last train of rock n roll to be had in Vancouver. When they opened with Rock n Roll Train. It couldn't of set up the tempo even better. The highlight for me was when they were singing the Jack. They had two MASS Jump tron screens behind the train that was on stage. Which a Camera was looking for the prissiest girls out there. I mean all dolled makeup looking like there goin to a Britney Spears concert. WTF!? this is AC/DC!!! Not N'Sync!!! So as they would chant She's got the JACK. There face shows up on the screen. Soo funny, they weren't even paying attention to the show at all. I mean it's a face of YOU on the jumbo tron at the show your watching? Soo many ppl laughed, such dumb blonde into their own world of life chicks. When Hells Bells played first people that came into my head were the soldiers in Ghan. I don't know why, I never put the video on Face. It sounds cheese for one, but in all honesty it was exactly how I felt. Them boys are throwing all they have at the enemy with Hells Bells. So didn't want the comments on it. A disappointing moment was when Whole Lotta Rosie was on. Noone Chanted Angus after the beginning riff. Christy and myself with her bf were all sync'd up. Seeing a near 60 yr old 5 ft nothing man roll on the stage, running in a circle, running up the stairs. While pouring out at least 20 pds of Water out of him, is inspiration at its finest. I dont anything that would inspire me more. Pure Passion for Rock and for the fans for over 30 years!!! When For those About to Rock was played. The crowd stood still for the beginning of the song. This was it, we were saluting memories of times of what was and the end of the Pioneers who took Rock to something more than there influences ever did. A way of Life!!! I would lie to say I didn't part with a few tears. Only other time that I truly felt as though I would be saying good bye to a set of friends that had been more than a part of my life, was when the Jets were gone in 96. I felt and watched the same emotion leave another arena that day...
