    Fan reviews:

    By Kyle Beatty, LA.CA.:
A minor childhood milestone disappointment. I was a seven-teen year-old kid growing up in Ft. Wayne with tickets to the show that night. I listened to Bon and Angus introduce Highway To Highway HELL and SHOT DOWN IN FLAMES on WXKE radio that afternoon. Something happened, that is too depressing to talk about. I was doing blotter acid and felt the effect of my disappointment to an almost overwhelming degree. Ted Nugent was my favorite rocker at that moment, but AC/DC was my favorite new band making noise in the states. Bon died six months later, making the memory even worse. I'm proud to say that I saw them twice on the BACK IN BLACK tour in 1980. I'm a huge Brian Johnson fan, and have seen them seven times. Yet to not have seen them with Bon is somewhat tragic, because it shouldn't have happened. It's always bothered me. I knew HIGHWAY TO HELL would ignite their visibility as a special band to Americans. None of us knew what was about to hit us, and the fact that they were able to rebound from that with BACK IN BLACK is a testament to how special they were. In the scheme of things it pales in comparison to a serious mind-scarring situation, but it has always bothered me. My consolation, though with a black mark, is knowing that I'm one of their biggest fans for thirty years and that they are the greatest rock band that has ever lived, and the greatest rock band that there will ever be.
