I can't quite remember the set list, I was 16 and stoned. I picked this to be my first concert and the bill was Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Journey, Thin Lizzy and Scorpions. I was in complete awe, through the whole thing and I think I have partial hearing from the experience. The World Series of Rock 1979, Cleveland, OH was my first of 6 AC/DC concerts.(1979 jul $12.50 , 1980 Oct $8.00, 1986 sept, 1996 $26.50, 2001 $45.50 Apr $45.00, 2009 $91.00)

THE JULY 1979 WSR-acdc and thin lizzy were GREAT-we sat under the top deck way in the back and during ACDC some nut threw a M-80 (more like a silver salute) off the top deck and it exploded in mid air,sending a shock wave through us,and BON SCOTT looked at ANGUS YOUNG in surprise like WTF do we run,but they just kicked it in and kept on rockin-Attending most of the WSR concerts myself,to this day,they sure were ass kickin partys!

This was the second time in 2 months I saw AC/DC. This event was a huge stadium show which turned very violent outside. Outside with loud hard rock and heavy metal and cute girls? What else do you need? We were kind of far from the stage on the field, but you could hear; that's all we needed.

I was 15 going on 16 years old; an employee at Cleveland Municipal Stadium. My job was to enter the field to change out Coca Cola Syrup canisters and help cart people 'off the field' who were drunk, too stoned, or tripping. I distinctly recall the American Red Cross "Trip Tents" spread throughout the concourses of the stadium. As I entered the field on one my 'many trips' (see how I did that) AC/DC hit the stage. This was the Bon Scott era and the legend of this band can be seen in the company they kept that day, Thin Lizzy-(WOW)- Ted Nugent-(Wang Dang)- Journey-(couldn't see Steve Perry due to his height-TRUE STORY), Scorpions-(Never got their due) and of course Aerosmith. I was getting paid to hear the Best of the Best of that era. One of the few concerts I recall every moment of, mostly due the fact that I was 15 and sober. I would go on to see them at Public Hall, The Richfield Coliseum twice. Rock on!
