Saw this gig with them opening for Cheap Trick. I wasnt crazy about Cheap Trick, but someone gave me the tickets. What the hell, I went. Honestly didn't even pay attention to AC/DC, the opener. only thing I remember about them was Angus riding a roadies shoulders all the way from the stage down the center of the hall all the way up the bleachers and back down playing the whole time, that's it.

I was 12 years old and HAD to go watch the Cheap Trick show at the Century 2 convention center. They were huge at the time. When AC/DC started the show, my friends and I were all blown away. They were absolutely full of energy. It was a powerful performance, and I’m thrilled to have had the chance to see Bon perform before he passed away.
I would like to add a shout out, and special thanks to the guy in the center of the floor with the wicked bong!

I was into both bands at the time. I was spending the summer in Mcpherson and saw both were coming to Wichita. I was 15 and could not drive to the show, so I talked a friend of my older brother into driving. We took some red dragon and blazed thru the show. I got down front , AC/DC was awesome, Angus riding on the roadies shoulder, loud as hell. Got a pick from Rick N., Bun E was cool as hell. Drove home at 110 mph in a new (at the time) 280Z. What a night! Saw AC/DC many times since but nothing was like that night.
