This gig was epic. The new Phoenix student union building had only opened in September and this was its first REAL test. Over 1000 headbanging students and locals were going mad. Remember the perspiration condensing on the ventilation pipes and virtual rain ensued for 2nd half of the show.

I was there! With 6 mates. Got right to the front, in front if Angus. ISTR the ventilation packed up and it was very hot and sweaty.
My mate lbbo flaked out and was pulled across the stage by roadies and chucked out the back. He wasn't let in again...

I was a “roadie” in fact a member of Poly Ents helping in front of stage pulling out those fainting (there were a number). We were given ear plugs!! It was a brilliant gig as the Poly was full and the band on fire.
