I went there with a pal who just happened to have a spare ticket (lucky me). This was an unbelievable venue. We were right up by the stage and the place was probably only 3/4 full, even leaving room to dance and head bang right in front of them. I don't know why the place was not full to the brim, AC/DC were already quite famous at that time. Look up a picture of the ballroom on Google and you'll see just how small it was.
The half moon stage was extended with staging to make it longer and there were speakers running up the back, like steps, going up towards the middle, behind the band. Angus ran up and down the speakers at various times during the show.
Bon Scott was the lead singer.
My all time favourite live gig by a million miles.
I've just seen them tonight in Melbourne (6th Dec 2015), 37 years after that show. Still awesome!
