    I was manager of the support band 'Captain Video' at the time. We had just lost our lead guitarist and our set was 'reasonable' but lacked the energy of the lead guitar.
    I was standing behind the mixing box when AC/DC struck the first chord and WOW.. from then on I was on another planet!! This was raw energy; loud, proud, vibrant - rock 'n roll as it should be played; no holes barred they blew the room apart! I knew right away that these boys were going to rock the whole world to smitherines and I told them so in the minute back room afterwards. Am still a fan, bought several of their albums, but never seen them live since - more's the pity! Rock has been in my blood since its dawn in the '50s and they took it to a higher plain that night! > I will never forget it and salute 'them' that keep on rockin'! God bless Bon Scott.

    I was at this gig...the previous night I'd been to see Max Merritt at the same venue... Details are a bit hazy as we'd had a fair few drinks but I do remember that were around 50-60 people there... the room was quite small but the boys were LOUD! I remember seeing the gig advertised as "Antipodean Punk Extravaganza" in NME and Melody Maker. AC/DC weren't a punk band. I'd seem them in Australia before they left for England and it was weird having only 50 or so people there, but they sure made their mark. I left to go back to Australia a few weeks later having no idea that AC/DC would become so big.

    And from one extreme (50 people at the Nashville) in 1976 I went to the other end in 2010 when they played at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne to 60,000 people. They did 3 shows in Melbourne so 180,00 people saw them.

    It was a long way to the top... but if a band ever deserved to get to the top through sheer hard work...(have a look at the amount of gigs they played) then AC/DC certainly earned the right
