First time I had seen the band in a long long time. Other distractions had seen me lose focus on what's important in life! From the first riffs of Stiff Upper Lip as the band walked on stage, or in Angus' case charged, I was in heaven. In the time it took them to finish this first song I regressed twenty years back to times when I first looked on in awe at the sight of the band in action. They, like I, had aged somewhat and,in truth, slowed down a little, but they were still clearly that hard working honest rock and roll band I fell in love with in 1979. They may have, video screens, a walkway,cannons, huge fake Hells Bell, a bloody great Angus and huge inflatable Rosie to add to their show but underneath this they were still fundamentally the toe tapping rock and roll band we all love. Brian Johnson in particular epitomised the humble and hard working ethic so central to the bands ethos and gave it everything he'd got. He was pure class. Their effort and commitment put most bands half their age to shame. I left the show a very happy young,I mean middle aged, man!
