Mike and I were both virgin AC/DC concert goers so when we saw AC/DC perform live, it blew all other concerts away. The Thunder from Down under was ultimate rock poetry in motion. But allow me to start at the beginning:
The first thing to happen was a display by a pair of young blondes in the side portion of the arena. After some prompting by the spotlight person the first girl showed all of Kemper her tits and then proceeded to treat us all to some lesbianic action as she and a gal pal smooched. (Much to the delight of the arena.) After that starter the crowd was ready to go. Then came the opening act.
Slash's Snakepit left a lot to be desired and past reviews proved to be true when they hit the stage. It was a 45 minute scream-a-thon by the lead singer who was wholly undesirable himself. This man was what seemed to be a Stephen Tyler impersonator with his velvety pants and sneakers. There was a lot of microphone twirling and jumping around that made this a pathetic Aerosmith wannabe display. The best way the lead could promote a response from the crowd was to yell, "Kansas City.". At one point the lead told the crowd to stand up to which we all did and after about 5 minutes, if that, everybody was sitting back down. The lead singer was truly a prima-dona if I ever saw one and even felt it necessary to stick his hand in his pants and massage his package. I really don't understand what he was trying to achieve there, but from where I was sitting there was a lot of snickering going on. Slash was playing well, good and sweaty. Overall, I could have done with out the whole band. A fan next to me remarked that he would have rather just heard Slash out there for 45 minutes just fiddling around on his guitar. Perhaps they should consider that for later in the tour?
As for AC/DC, they were true animals. For as old as the lads are getting they put out a show with the energy of men much, much younger. Brian belted lyrics wonderfully and you could tell he was having a good time playing air guitar in sync with Angus off on the side of the stage. It was great when the crowd cheered him on and he made his running leap and hung from the bell that was about 20 yards from where we were sitting. He seemed to make a good connection with the crowd and in his usual, casual, kick ass manner kept the crowd riled and ready for more. Angus didn't stop the entire time. He was sweaty and absolutely fabulous as he hopped around stage and played his guitar. He equally kept the crowd going and really showed that he can still be a bad schoolboy after all these years. The best what when he threw his tempertantrum on the giant petri-dish looking attachment at the end of the runway. The thing was on hydrolics so everyone could see from all angles as he rolled around with his guitar when they lifted it up in the air. The strip-tease was of course kick. Where else but at an AC/DC show can a guy like Angus take off his clothes and have all those fans screaming and cheering because they paid to see it happen? You could tell by his expression that he was loving it and feeding off the crowd's undying enthusiasm.
This show kicked so hard that its going to take a week to get the shoe mark off our asses. I highly recommend going to this show. Buy tickets from scalpers if you must, but see this show. It will rock you hard-core! AC/DC ROCKS!

Well, AC/DC absolutely kicked ass in KC. From the opening chords of You Shook Me All Night Long to the final cannon blast of For Those About To Rock, the crowd was on their feet, pumping their fists in the air, and chanting for more of Angus's crazy antics. The band looks great for their age, I don't think Brian has changed a bit. The crowd loved the huge bronze statue of Angus, personally, I loved the glowing horns and bellowing smoke. Highlights of the evening had to be Safe in New York City, Back in Black, Whole Lotta Rosie, Bad Boy Boogie, Let There Be Rock (My personal favorite), Dirty Deeds, and of course, For Those About To Rock. The women in KC were fucking spectacular, before the show even started there was spotlights on two girls making out. During The Jack, I think half of the women in the arena got topless, one girl 2 rows up from in the 1st row had her nipples pierced! The last big thing of the night for me and my friends was catching up with the tour bus on the to St. Louis, and Malcolm was sitting shotgun on the bus smokin a cig, and we yelled his name, and he gave us a thumbs up out the window. AC/DC is the best rock and roll band that has ever, and will ever walk the face of this earth!

What do say about the greatest rock band of all time, for lack of better words, THEY KICKED FUCKING ASS. Kemper arena, Kansas City, MO, 20,000, SOLD OUT!!! Bon would be proud. There has only been 1 concert I've seen that could equal this show, and that was the Ballbreaker Tour. From the opening chords of "You Shook Me All Night Long," to the last cannon fire of "For Those About To Rock," there was not an ass on there seat all night (except for the guy passed out in front of me...what an idiot). They had a great line up, mainstays such as Thunderstruck, Shot Down In Flames, R'n'R Ain't Noise Pollution, as well as must play classics Highway To Hell, Dirty Deeds, Back In Black. You could see who the die hard fans are when you see them singing along with the lesser known Bad Boy Boogie, and Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be. I would of like to have seen more off the new CD, but it's cool. They did replace Get It Hot off the previous line up with new one Safe In NY City, (my personal favorite off the new CD). And I would of like to have seen more than Hard As A Rock off the "Ballbreaker" CD (there best since "Back In Black"). It doesn't matter, none the less the best fucking show in the world. There is really nothing more to say, you can't put a show of this magnitude into words. Catch it if you can. If you can't your just assed out. WE SALUTE YOU!!!

This was absolutely the best day of my life. I had never seen them before and expected a lot. It was all there and more. We were in the very back of Kemper and it was still the loudest thing I have ever been to in my life. The show literally kicks your ass. These guys are the kings, hands down. All these idiots who listen to crap like Limp Dipshits and Corn can stick it where the sun don't shine. As far as I'm concerned AC/DC is the only and the greatest rock n' roll band ever. If you ever have the chance to go to an AC/DC concert I guarantee you won't be disappointed. THE LOUDEST THING ON EARTH IS AC/DC LIVE.

This is the band of no nonsense, just rock the house, as quick and ashard as you can. This was the second time that I had seen AC/DC at Kemper Arena. The band was about as good as it could get with Angus doing his usual head thrashing, Johnson, was what can I say other than he fell well into place with the demise of the late Bon Scott. They still just keep turning out the hits and from what I saw of the crowd it didn't matter if you were twelve or sixty, you could not help but get into it and the crowd. Snake Pit was not bad with the appearance of Slash, but could have done better for the mix of the bands. Between the fireballs and the statue of Angus with the perverbial horns, lit eyes and blowing smoke how could you not have had a good time. Highway to hell just about brought down the house and Whole lot of Rosie didn't do bad. All I could say was it was a hell of a road trip. Hoping that this is not the last tour, we will see them again. Considering that the band is on the edge of retirement age, what the hell, old folks homes need a little rock and roll too. Just hope that it is where I will be with them, what else could we expect from Angus.

Last night I went to see AC/DC and Slash's Snakepit here at Kemper Arena in Kansas City MO. I didn't care AT ALL for Slash's Snakepit, I thought they were a poor opener for one of the greatest bands of all time and in my opinion the inventor's of hard rock. I can't tell you how loud and rocking AC/DC were. They just tore the roof off the place. It was a packed house, sold out to the last ticket and everyone enjoyed the show. I loved the set, the huge Angus statue was awesome with smoking nose, lit up horns and everything, it was just awesome to say the least. I can't remember the set list in order, but I can however remember the songs in no particular order: You Shook Me All Night Long, Hells Bells, Shoot To Thrill, Back In Black, Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution, Stiff Upper Lip, Safe In New York City, Satellite Blues, The Jack, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Thunderstruck, Hard As A Rock, Highway To Hell, Shot Down In Flames, Whole Lotta Rosie, and the encores were T.N.T. and For Those About To Rock. I am only twenty years old but have seen my share of concerts in my time and this one rates real close to the top of my list. I must say I was a little disappointed, I wasn't holding out a lot of hope to hear my fave AC/DC song Riff Raff, but it was still an awesome show. Can't tell you how loud the show was, I have left two shows now with my ears literally hurting and ringing, the only other being KISS. AC/DC was louder though, and I loved every minute of it, if anyone reads this and is debating on getting their tickets, think about it no longer, pick them up, you won't be disappointed. For Those About To Rock with AC/DC, I SALUTE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was privileged enough to see the Minneapolis and Kansas shows over the Labor Day weekend and if that isn't a true holiday I don't know what is. I read somewhere that rock was dead. Apparently the speaker of this lie was not present at either of the the two shows. i believe both concerts to be sold out and no one left the shows without knowing they had had their asses rocked. The props were first class and was great to see the cannons. Brian seemed to be enjoying himself. I think it makes a huge difference when a band wants to be in the position. I think the set list was complete with the right mixture of new with old. Angus seems to have endless energy running from one end of the stage to the other countless times. I thought starting off the night with You Shook Me All Night Long was awesome. It got the crowd right into it. I saw the Kiss Farewell tour stop in Omaha earlier in the week and have to say the AC/DC shows were far better. I hope the rumors are true about the next summer dates as I would love to see AC/DC at least 2 or 3 more times. If the boys are in your town get off your ass and get down there. I rode in excess of 1300 miles to see both shows and would do it again tomorrow.

A great line up including new songs such as Stiff Upper lip, as well as previous CD Hard As A Rock, also including classic mainstays as Back In Black, Highway To Hell and Dirty Deeds, the "Thunder From Down Under" didn't let us down. I would of liked to of seen more from the new CD, also more from the Ballbreaker CD, but that's cool. They did however do Safe In NY City (my favorite off the new CD), in place of Get It Hot like they did in earlier concerts. But when the played songs like Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be, and Bad Boy Boogie you could see who the Die Hard AC/DC fans were. Rock N' Roll Ain't Noise Pollution, Thunderstruck, Angus' striptease, and most definitely the infamous Jack. Angus never stopped banging that head. Of course there were women getting naked everywhere, and the didn't hesitate to put that on the big screen. This as usual was the greatest shows on earth. YOU CAN'T STOP ROCK N' ROLL.
