Sorry folks but there is no better place to see AC/DC than at Madison Square Garden. Especially on a Friday night. I don't mean to sound like a snob but 8/25/00 marked the 17th time I have seen the band (I was lucky enough to catch them on their Highway to Hell tour in '79) and no place matches the intensity of the Garden crowd. I think the band senses it and feeds off of it because out of all the places I have seen them play, they are always a notch better at MSG. And last Friday was no exception. I was originally a bit skeptical about them choosing YSMANL as the opener (I would have suggested Live Wire, Riff Raff, or even Hells Bells) but let me tell you, it WAS a great opening song. Got the crowd wild right from the beginning. No fanfare either, the band simply walked on stage, Angus took a bow and they let it rip from there. Honestly folks, I have never seen Angus on fire like this ever before! He really dug down deep and played like the great guitarist that he is. The rest of the band was tight as hell, and Brian Johnson sounded perfect. The set list was great, no different than what has already been reported. My personal favorites of the night were Safe in NYC, Bad Boy Boogie, Rosie, Let There Be Rock, and of course, FTATR. My ears were still ringing as of Sunday! I really can't think of any bad things to say about the show...some other reviewer said it best: AC/DC is like a fine wine - they get better and better with age.

I wish I could take all the stupid kids out there who listen to korn and limp bizkit and show them what a real rock and roll band is. No fancy clothes, no un-necessary crap, just good foot-stomping, gut-kicking bluesy, power charged rock. I had second row seats for the New York show and I had the time of my life. Angus skipped around the stage as nimble as ever and Brian wailed away in his beautiful razor-throated style as the band charged their way through a solid two hour set. Slash's Snakepit gave me just enough time to get all the beer I needed to enjoy AC/DC fully. It was cool seeing Slash, but his lead singer needs to go. He was nothing more than a punk in tight pants who jumped around like a mess. But hell, that wasn't gonna ruin the night. We actually caught a glimpse of Steven Tyler and Joe Perry catching the show, maybe to check out the competition. The only negative part of the show is AC/DC has ruined me for any other concert. They were just so good that anyone else I see live is gonna look like a bunch of pansies. Cold beer, hard rock, (AC/DC rock that is) and the bands showmanship made for the best time I've had anywhere in along time. Can't wait for the next tour.

I saw the band the previous night at continental arena. They were much more in tune with the audience at msg and played even hotter than the night before. They were great at continental but they were absolutely on fire at the garden. Angus was pulling and twisting the guitar over his head and did some things that I have never seen him do before, even though they choreograph the show professionally each night. The crowd at the garden clearly affected his vibes. For anyone who loves going to concerts, ac/dc will be the crowning point of your concert-going career. Rock and roll was meant to be played this way and meant to have developed in this direction. their sound is clean (loud but not distorted) with no added guitar effects. There are other great bands out there and great in concert as well but truly ac/dc is the ultimate rock band with the ultimate sound, songs and show. It amazes me that one song sounded better than the next. They have so many catchy, strong tunes that when seeing them in concert, one can never be bored. Even metallica bores me sometimes during their shows, but not these guys. Their songs are meticulously crafted for rock songs. They are always there to please their audience a thousand percent. This review should be read among other concert reviews as well because it is a shame that only ac/dc fans will read this. People just don't realize how incredible they are. How's this for a review?!!!?

I have to say I was a bit disappointed too with the sound quality on this tour; the sound man did not handle the show well. Don't get me wrong, AC/DC is one of my favorite bands, and my absolute favorite band to see live. Usually they sound phenomenal live, but this time the sound man left things quite unbalanced. Additionally, many songs sounded slower than usual, or like Thunderstruck, slowed down after they started. Overall, the show was enjoyable, but by no means was I blown away like the last tour. Oh well - I hope there's a next time and that they will rock once again like before.

Well this was 15 years in the making. AC/DC were the first band that made my jaw hit the floor when I was just a wee lad. Since then I've attended over 300 concerts but for some reason I've never had the pleasure of seeing them. I've always been a huge Bon Scott fan but I've also always loved Brain Johnson's albums with the band too. Bottom Line, these guys still kick ass.

To me everything sounded great. Even the new songs have that classic AC/DC punch to them. The only old songs that I did not feel translated well to Brian Johnson voice and style were Shot down in flames and Hell ain't a bad place to be. To me these songs absolutely need Bon Scott to be delivered appropriately. I would've rather Brian sing High Voltage or more of the kickin' songs that he's wrote and recorded with the band. Anyhow, if anyone is in doubt, let me re-assure you, these guys are amazing. Don't miss it.

This was my first ever AC/DC concert. I work more in classical and contemporary music related to theatre. To tell you I was lightning struck is to put it mildly! From their modest entry onto the stage to their first note, was like a blaza of light in a split second. The sold out Madison Square Gardens stood and screamed and never sat down again. As Young and Johnson took over we were all shaken by a vibration so strong it felt like an earthquake. Johnson's energy and guttural roaring increased as the evening went on as did the entire band's. Stage effects were great, from Angus in large, blowing smoke or lightning eyes, or red luminous horns! Man! Fire and brimstone. What a great discovery for me! Long may they reign!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, AC/DC RULES! The minute the lights went out, a sold-out MADISON SQUARE GARDEN jumped to it's feet and went nuts. AC/DC looked and sounded great...Even better than they did on the Ballbreaker tour. The cartoon they had on during HARD AS A ROCK was f@@king hilarious. I have often wondered why I haven't really been able to enjoy a concert since the first time I saw AC/DC. This band will ruin any other concert you ever go to for as long as you live. No one can put on a show like AC/DC. After the show I almost collapsed, as the adrenaline rushed out of my system. THEY HAVE TO COME BACK AROUND FOR ANOTHER SHOW AFTER THE EUROPEAN LEG OF THE TOUR.

It is the morning after my final AC/DC SHOW (#4)of this tour. ALL THE praise everyone puts on the reviews of this tour, really is not enough. Without a doubt AC/DC is the Greatest ROCK&ROLL band of the past 30 or so years. We were 3rd row orchestra in N.J. Thursday and being so close for the 1st time was like seeing Royalty, my life will never ever be the same. Last nite at MSG was wild!! the whole place was on MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE and you could tell ANGUS AND BRIAN KNEW IT. They gave it that little extra push!! The song list stayed the same and people will always complain, why didn't they do this or this. But sad as it is they can only do so much each time (what a pity). All I can say is they have and forever will touch my life in a way no musical band can. AND THEY SHOULD GO ON FOR AS LONG AS THEY CAN SOUND AND FEEL AS GOOD AS THEY DO, while not embarrassing themselves like other old( are u listening Mick and Roger) Rockers are starting to do. They are the youngest of the bunch so it gives them some time. Who ever you are, if you have not seen them yet and have a chance..GO!!!!!!!! IT IS AN EXPEREINCE THAT WILL LAST YOU A LIFETIME. I am 42 and last nite was my 24th show. It gets better every time!!! AC/DC THE GREATEST ROCK BAND THAT EVER WAS, AND THAT EVER WILL BE!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!!

Wow! What an amazing show! You can't get any better than that! The opening band, Slash's Snakepit Kicked Ass! They really rock! There are no words to describe AC/DC that Night! This was clearly the best concert I have ever seen! They Played a 2 hour set to an unbelieveable crowd! Every seat was filled! And every person in the arena was on there feet the whole show! Even for the Snakepit! There is no place like New York City! High Five to the security guys! you rock! (We are "safe in NYC"). Angus just gets better and better! During the 4 shows I saw Brian never seemed to be straining himself. They really put on one hell of a show!
