Simply put, the only thing louder than AC/DC is war! Their show in Philly was two hours of mind-bending, ear-splitting rock 'n' roll. They took the stage shortly after 9 p.m. and proceeded to lay waste to the building with perfectly synchronized guitars, drums, bass and Brian Johnson's raspy werewolf howl! He sounded awesome and rarely ever rested. Same as Angus. The Man's unstoppable. The First Union Center was nearly full, and the 20,000+ crowd roared all through the show. Middle-aged bald dudes danced in the aisles with their kids. Philly chicks flashed their boobs for the big screen during The Jack. Malcolm and Cliff even had to turn around and check out the flesh show on screen! The 30-foot-tall, smoke-breathing bronze Angus statue was a perfect backdrop for the stage. Brian was busy handslapping fans during parts of the show as he ran up and down a catwalk that extended into the audience. No surprises with the set list. It's the same as what has already been reported. My one complaint is they only played three songs off Stiff Upper Lip, which really is one of the band's best efforts in almost 20 years. They ripped out SUL, Safe in NYC and Satellite Blues, all good tunes. But it would've ruled if they included Give It Up, Can't Hold Me Back, or All Screwed Up. Still, Bad Boy Boogie and Hell Ain't a Bad Place To Be were great for the set list. AC/DC puts so much into each show, and it really is a rock 'n' roll show. Screw the musicians who stand by their microphones and don't even care the crowd is out there. Angus, Malcolm, Brian, Cliff and Phil all remind us why deep down inside we all dream of being rock stars.

I know this review is about a week late but hell that's how long it took me to recover from it!!!!!.This was my first ac/dc concert and also the greatest b-day present I've ever gotten.I just can't say enough and I can't put it into words of how cool the concert was. The Jack had to be the best song on the setlist (just 'cause of the live strip show from the women in the crowd) and like my friend said: "Angus could've flushed a toilet in rhythm and it still would've been the best song, because we saw breasts!!!!" I don't care what anybody says old, washed up whatever THEY KICKED ASS!! If ac/dc is coming to your town don't be left behind and go to the show you won't regret it.

As always, AC/DC put on a great performance. I was a bit disappointed that they played Safe In New York City in place of Get It Hot, but they played SINYC great. They might as well call it the Back In Black II tour, however, as 5 songs from BIB were played. I haven't seen them play Bad Boy Boogie since '83, so that was a huge thrill. The new stage design allowed both Brian and Angus to get up close and personal! The towering Angus statue was brilliant, and the shirtless chicks during The Jack were not a bad example of crowd participation (just don't tell my wife I said that). Hell, one chick had her hand down her pants! AC/DC always aims to please, and as always, they succeeded Sunday night in Philly!

AC/DC absolutely rocked Philly's First Union Center on Sunday night, August 20th. !!!!
I have seen the band eight times since '85 and my friends and I all agreed that this was by far their best performance! Same set list as other shows, with SINYC replacing Get It Hot. The fans were packed in to the rafters, and everybody rocked with the band from the first note of Shook Me all the way to the final cannons/ confetti shots of FTATR! Absolutely awesome! Go see this show!
Everyone played great, and boy were they LOUD!!!!! My friends and I waited out back to see the guys load onto the buses, and each one of them acknowledged our cheers of "Great Show, Cliff!", etc.
What a great night to spend with the greatest band of all time. Thank You, guys.

As I sit a my parents' computer, 24 hours after watching AC/DC rock Philadelphia like no band has ever before, I think of all the memories that are going to stay with me for the rest of my life. The 30 ft. Angus statue that spewed smoke all night and had glowing red eyes. The explosion of the crowd during the first few notes of "Thunderstruck", Philadelphia's "finest" showing their finest during "The Jack" (including one incredible looking blonde who began to masturbate on screen!). The sheer power of the band, especially during "Back In Black" and "Highway to Hell". The biggest and loudest display of clapping during "Shoot to Thrill", and the genuine and honest chemistry the band has with the fans that love them so much. These are the things I will always remember. The set list was the same as other reviewers have mentioned, and the show lasted a little over two hours. This is my fourth AC/DC concert, and I must specifically point out that Brian Johnson was better than I ever saw him. I don't care if he is 52 years old, his voice is in great shape. His voice was loud, powerful, and he just gave an awesome performance. I was also glad to see a ton of teenagers there; it is good to see that they are listening to more than just crap like Korn and Limp Bizkit.

Awesome show! I'm 15 and I went with my dad and other friend and it was the best friggen 2 hours of my life. Angus looks just as lively as he was at 18 when he started. Brian's voice was great. I heard some BS that he would be rough around the edges but that was just BS in my mind. Malcolm, Cliff, and Phil kept things together perfectly. They deserve more recognition for what they do. I'm sure its not the easiest task to keep things tight when you have Angus in the drivers seat. After the quiet intro in the second song (stiff upper lip) I started bangin my head and playin air guitar until the final chord of "for those about to rock.." great videos during "hard as a rock". I think I counted 6 or 7 pairs of breasts or "boobies" as Brian so casually called them. One young female even felt the urge to pleasure herself while she was on the main screen.
Slash's band wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. He's still rockin his heart out with a cig hangin out of his mouth. the singer could use some lessons on crowd pleasing however. I don't think the audience enjoyed being called "mother fu**ers" or "bunch of fu**ing homos". slash, ditch the premadonna. ACDC KICKS ASS

Well to start with I've always been a fan of the band. After seeing them live tonite it's not even close they are now my favorite. Best concert I have ever seen the playing and the energy were incredible. Everything I read in the other reviews is true about how great the show is. All I can say is if you have been thinking of going stop thinking and go. The songs off Stiff Upper Lip sounded great of course they all did. My personal favorites were Dirty Deeds, Highway To Hell and TNT, these also got a great reaction from the crowd. As for The Jack there were a few young ladies who got into the spirit of it for which we and the band were grateful. If there is a better live guitar player than Angus around I would have no idea who it could be while I was in no way looking for mistakes it sounded like Angus nailed everything note for note and his energy incredible. As for slash he should call Axl soon they need each other badly.

Slash's Snakepit took the stage with an eagerness to please, and from what I could see, they did just that! Although there were a lot of empty seats during their set, the Snakepit gave it there all. They show definite promise as an up and coming band!
But of course there is only one AC/DC! Angus and the boys commanded the stage with enough force to bring the whole state of Pennsylvania to there knees! Brian's voice held up extremely well as he rocked the 2 hour set! Angus was the man that night! The bad boy did his boogie and gave PA a night to remember! Malcolm was my favorite though! He's amazing to watch! It amazes me to see someone as accomplished as Malcolm is, looking up to his younger brother!
The sound in this Arena was unreal, like nothing I ever heard! Phil and Cliff Rocked! On this night, there was an unbelievable mix of good old Rock and Roll and some smokin Blues that would make the hair on the back of your neck stand up! This band CLEARLY loves to play together. AC/DC gave PA a great show taking the classic songs like Whole lotta Rosie, The Jack, Let there be rock and Highway to hell and mixing them up with a few new tunes from Stiff Upper Lip it was really hot set list! The crowd was awesome, the fan base at this show ranged from 5 year old kids to 50 something adults. The best part, so many different generations came together on this night to share a common love! The love of Rock and Roll. It was a night of pure admiration for a band that keeps on rockin! It's incredible! I cant wait for the next show! AC/DC THE GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL BAND!
