WHAT A LEGENDARY SHOW!!! AC/DC kicked my ass!!! They were so loud, my ears were ringing a week afterwards!! The cannons during "For Those About To Rock We Salute You" (practically) made my ears bleed!!!!
Queensrÿche SUCKED ASS!!!! Worst opening act…EVER!!!

Amazing concert. Mind-blowing and unforgettable experience.
Gotta say I thought that Queensryche were brilliant and I bought Rage for Order the very next day..! They had some hardcore fans right up by the stage who all cleared out once they were done so before I could even react I was front and center. I just can't describe what it's like to be packed together shoulder to shoulder and being pretty helpless with the way the crowd surges from side to side along with constant pressure from behind. It easily was the longest hour of my life waiting for ACDC to finally get on stage.
Epic show. I was surprised they played She's got Balls - I've never heard that one live before. Hope the setlist gets posted.
Can't remember when I was ever more exhausted - no exaggeration, but my denim jacket was soaked through...

Previous review of Queensryche being worst opening act ever... just a terrible observation. I had just graduated high school in June. Great show all around. A dream setlist from both bands. Rage For Order still my favorite QR album.

AC/DC just couldn't possibly disappoint with their setlist. I still remember Angus looking like a lawn sprinkler during his solo standing on a stack of speakers. The stage lights behind him as he wailed on that SG, sweat sprayed off him as he banged his head! And those cannons!!! Lifted you right off the floor. Those were the days...

This was a great show. I remember Queensryche killing it and being loved by the fans. I'm not a huge fan of theirs, but I recall having never heard of them but being impressed with them. I also recall the singer saying, 'I know you're not here to see us,' and 'we only have a couple songs left,' on multiple occasions and the crowd responding with definite support for them. In subsequent years, I was not surprised that they went on to have success, because they were so good on this night.

I also remember that in the days prior to the show, the local radio station (either KSJO or KOME) promoted an Angus Young look-a-like contest, and being totally stoked to find out at the beginning of the concert, during the opening chord for 'Who Made Who,' that the reason why was because the stage was full of scaffolding populated by all the contestants playing their 'guitars' a-la the 'Who Made Who' video. One by one, they left the stage until only the real deal remained. It was a spectacular way to start their set.

The best thing about the show was that not only did they close with 'Hells Bells' and 'For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)' but they had the bell and canon on stage. I'll never forget how loud the canon was or the smoke rings that it sent across the arena when it fired. It was also cool to hear the songs from the 'Let There be Rock' album, even though hearing them being sung by Brian Johnson was a sad reminder of Bon Scott's passing, and the 'Back in Black' album. Hard to believe this was 35 years ago. Feels like just a few years ago.
