It was my first concert ever. I was 13. Here are just a few memories. It was a great evening. They opened with Hells Bells. Brian hits the bell with a hammer. It was a pure music. Nothing else. I think they played Shot down in flames, Let's get it up, Have drink on me, TNT, Highway to hell and ...? I'm not sure, but I think Rocker and of course For Those About To Rock at the end of the show. It was a great evening in the first row, me and my friend Bernd, It' s long time ago, but still in my head.

I was freshly out of basic and AIT. I was in the United States Army. My very first week in country. I was standing at the stage front row. It was kind of a culture shock! I was just resting my arms on the stage. Within a couple feet of Angus playing right in front of me. There was a guy passed out when I walked in the building. Sitting in a chair laying up against the speakers. When the for those about the rock cannons went off, we had to evacuate the building because of so much smoke more or less. And that man was still passed out at those speakers. I couldn’t hear for two weeks, I had a ringing in my ear because of the loud music. Loved it. But I often wonder what happened to that guy‘s ears lol. By far the best concert I’ve ever been to hands-down!!! My best friend that I grew up with. I Got stationed in the same barracks with him. Ansbach Germany. He got us tickets to the concert. He passed away about six years ago. Grew up together since the age of four. Very great memories from that night!!!!! Just coming from the United States. Seeing underage kids drinking out of wine bags. Was a culture shock at the least. I threw back a few beers that night myself. One for the history books. I would love to know if that building is still standing. And if someone could share some pictures from that night or the building.

I was 13 at the time and took the train to see the show at Messe Zentrum Halle A. I was just a Boy what could not speak or understand English but loved the music and couldn’t miss this for nothing so I saved up for the ticket for the concert and for the train ride and here I went scared as I can be in a late night in November cold in my blue puff jacket! Once in the building all these people inside I was scared and stood in the back so I can see and if necessary escape lol! It was amazing when Brian hit the bell at opening and the spark’s flew the ending the cannon’s fired there salute and the whole hall shook from the detonation. It was my first concert and the best I’ve seen. 30 years later I saw them again in San Francisco and hopefully can see them once more now we're all old but the music is the same and the memories are too, love you all my fallow fans!
