Great concert. I remember the top balcony moving up and down to the songs from the people on top that I thought it was going to come down on me. What a sight it was.

Attended BOTH this show at Palladium (basically a large auditorium seating a couple thousand ) and Aug 4, 1979 show with Bon Scott. The venue had no air conditioning (AC) but hell it had AC/DC! Back in Black had not yet taken off but it would very soon. Great show, loud, sweaty. Def Leppard opened. They were great, had just released their first LP On Through The Night. Were only 16-17 years old at the time! Rumor at the show was Angus pissed on stage but who knows?

Saw this show from the balcony and was leaping in the air with the rhythm of the sway in the floor, to the music. Hells Bells opener with blacked out auditorium and closed curtain, with gonging of Hells Bell for first time live in North America. "Shook Me All Night Long" was only song most people in the building had ever heard on WPLJ.
Beyond Epic Concert

My friend and I were at this show. We sat about 8 rows from the stage. In the Palladium that night, it had to be close to 100 degrees. I have seen AC/DC 51 TIMES all up and down the east coast. Met Angus twice and have 2 pics and an autograph. While I have NEVER SEEN a bad show by them either with Bon or Brian this was one of if not my favorite show by them of all time!!
A Lifelong memory... STILL HAVE THE Ticket...!!

First of all... read my review for June, 1979 at the Palladium. A great story! Anyway, this time, after booing Def Leppard off the stage (who knew!)... the show was awesome and we, again, when around the back of the Palladium to see the band after the show. We waited, but they didn't come out. My friend Rob Bertolli and I found an unlocked door to the theatre and went in. We walked down a dark bricked hallway, bare light bulbs, water dripping down the walls... came to some stairs, went up, came to a door and went through it... we were on the stage! Whoa!!! So we walked around, the roadies were packing up all the stuff and, after a minute, a guy walks bye and says, "Don't just stand there... move somethin'." So we starting picking up coils of cables and boxes and moved them from point A to Point B... then I said, "We better get outta here!" Memories for a lifetime!

One helluva night. The band came on late so that got everyone in the crowd really riled up. It felt like it was 200 degrees in that old theater. Sat in the balcony on Cliff's side of the stage, right next to the guy working one of the spotlights. That made it even hotter, LOL. The band was in top notch shape and played all the "new songs" as if they were playing them for decades, already. Great energy. Brian was a great surprise. And by the end of the first song that night, Hells Bells, I knew he was the right choice.
Angus got into a brawl with some guy who kept trying to grab his shirt and tie during Bad Boy Boogie. Angus jumped right off the stage onto the guy!
Outside the venue, some kids and employees were getting oxygen and water from EMS, police and fire department. It looked like a frigin war zone, LOL. Pure AC/DC. Rock and roll.
