I saw this "Highway to Hell Tour" show at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, Georgia. A fellow Rock guitar player told me about this Aussie Rock Group, so we went to check them out not expecting too much, and was I surprised. This is the best AC/DC ever was, Bon Scott up front in all his glory, singing his Rock'n'Roll poetry, Angus tearing up leads and Malcolm slinging freight train riffs. On "Whole Lotta' Rosie", they tore it up real good. Their main encore was "Let There Be Rock", with Bon doing his best.

I actually worked this show as an usher (What could be better than AC/DC for FREE). The Fox in Atlanta used ushers to make sure all the stoned fans sat in the right seats. I had to watch first half of the show standing up in the back center orchestra, but in the the 4,800 seat Fox that's not a bad place to be. Then went and sat in a open seat about 15 rows down. I remember Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be and Whole Lotta' Rosie were great. They jammed out on High Voltage with Angus doing a extended solo. Highway to Hell was great, Bon sang it like only Bon could.

My first experience with AC/DC was the if you want blood live album... we rocked that cassette until we wore the writing off of it. Went to this show and sat on about the 15th row in an aisle seat. Angus and Bon ran into the audience and did the usual Angus on Bon's shoulders thing. Bon stopped about 2' from me and Angus rocked for about 5 minutes. Everyone was standing on the arm rests' of the seats by this time. I have been a fan ever since. By the way...the set list started with Riff Raff and not Live Wire. Hands down... best rock show I have ever seen. Angus had bloody knees at the end of the show!

A buddy of mine in high school (this was my senior year, at Rockmart High) and I went to this show. He had bought tickets and had fantastic seats (Row G, in the beautiful Fox Theater). Needless to say, it was a fantastic show, with Bon Scott leading the band.
After the show my buddy and I walked outside, over to one side of the building where the backstage door is located, hoping to maybe see the band. Pat Travers came out and walked around the crowd after the show, which I thought was very cool and down-to-earth of him to do so.
Realizing that this show was more than 40 years ago is quite surprising. Time does fly by.
