Dudes, I was there at the concert that day. I was stationed in the Army. Several of my buddies all got on a train from Schweinfurt and took it to Nurnberg. It was a great concert, AC/DC was awsome.

I was also in the Army when I saw the concert. The irony of it was that Zeppelin Field is where the Nazi's held their rallies. I spent most of the day in a blur, but was with it for AC/DC and The Who, I'd like to say the whole day was a great concert, but I can't. AC/DC and The Who did kill it though.

I was stationed in bad kissengen b-10-e took the train w/several friends and camped out the night before the concert. Great concert big AC/DC fan.

Stationed at Schweinfurt, my friend and I took the train. We had a fire going, and there were several around the stadium. AC/DC, The Who light show, Miriam Makeba, Cheap Trick, I still talk about this concert!

Was in the army south of Ansbach took a friends car and a bunch of us went up there the day before. Molly Hatchett, Cheap Trick, Scorpions, AC/DC, and The Who with their laser show. It was crazy!!! Was about 50 feet back from front stage close to the electric effects and sound location. What an awesome show!!! The lasers bouncing off the big ball and the gunpowder charges up on the wall. The bands between sets were awesome. Was an all day affair and half the night. It got pretty loaded out.

I was stationed in Aschaffenburg, 9th Engr Battalion. Drove out with some friends. Great show, good times. The Who was my fav but AC/DC, Cheap Trick, Scorpions, and Molly Hatchet were also awesome. Miss those concerts.

I’m 3 days in country stationed in Stuttgart in the Army, a guy asks if I’m going to the Nuremberg show. I had a ticket purchased an hour later, we went up the night before by train rented tents we left in the park, I was so jazzed about this line up. You got southern rock Molly Hatchet, German rock (Scorpions), Illinois rock Cheap Trick (where I was born & raised), and my all time favorite real rock n roll band, The Who, and obviously for kick ass party music, no one alive kicks it like AC/DC! Biggest concert I’d ever seen, best line up I’ve ever heard of shy of Woodstock. This was The Who's first concert after Moon died....Pete walked up to the mic, took a huge hit off a joint, through to the crowd and said “It’ll never be the fuckin’ same.”

"Crash" Crabtree, from SoCal, and I took the train from Nellingen just outside Stuttgart in the early morning. We got there as the gates opened and partied all day with 77,000 of our best friends. I remember the great music - we spent the day near the stage, in the middle, and at the second over of the tribute grandstand. I didn’t know the Africans, but the Germans looked like they were enjoying them. The Brit and American bands I did know and was wowed by all. No Keith Moon with the Who, but Bon Scott (AC/DC) was still prancing around. It was a great day I still talk about!

Stationed at The Rock in Bindlach West Germany 2nd armored cav. We took the train to Nuremburg and we drew straws to see who had to go find the hash, tripping green they called it, one of the greatest concerts I've ever seen, AC/DC was unbelievable, and historic Zeppelinfeld. I will never forget it.
