    Fan reviews:

    By Tony Hendy, Ballarat, VIC:
St. Pats Hall was the venue where there was guest bands most Saturday nights. AC/DC were the best band ever to play there. I was playing drums at the time in my own band and the venue was full to capacity. Angus was really getting his stage act together and as expected, was very entertaining.

I have 10 original photos of ac/dc on stage from this concert in Ballarat at the Dawson st hall, this being st Pats Hall no bigger than your normal small school hall, in fact the east high school hall you will find is bigger. I can also tell you that the very back stage curtain which is in a gold colour remains the same today 16/05/2012 as it did on the 14 Jan. 1977. No one has ever seen these photo's out side my own family and home. At that time there was much controversy over angus being to young to be touring around with the band ac/dc ,the education department at the time decided that, it was ok that this was the case but only if he spent time dropping into the local high schools for a day or two in the city's and town the band visited so that angus could keep up with his schooling. the school that he spent his time at in Ballarat, was the Ballarat East High School as it was known then. Now Know as the East campus I know this bacause I was also at that school in a year below angus. But it was all Hush-Hush.
That night Im sure to see the band cost me about $6.50 for a night of pure rock.It was a fantastic night I also got to talk to Bon for a few minutes, and I have to say its True what they say,he was checky and funny I have been a fan of ac/dc all my life and I am now 52years old and I still have posters and pctures of the band on my walls today today. Cheers John.
