By Gary Mitchell, Mandurah, Western Australia:
Yes I was there at the Burnie Civic Centre in 1977 as a 20 year old. I was playing footy with Devonport F.C - I heard that AC/DC was playing down the road at Burnie; and I had to have tickets and went with my girlfriend at the time. The venue was unusual as everyone was seated - there was no standing area at the front - so it was like going to the movies. The band was great - the set wasn't huge - but some of the songs played that night remain my favourites to this day, 41 years later. Songs like Live Wire, Dirty Deeds, TNT, High Voltage and Jailbreak. I remember Angus at one stage playing on top of the Marshall stacks and jumping down. My love for AC/DC music hasn't diminished over the years - there probably isn't a week goes by that I don't play one of their songs. I took my 27 year old son to see them in Perth for the Rock or Bust Tour - so to see them in the first few years of their existence with Bon Scott, and then 40 years later with my son was awesome, and very memorable. Rock on AC/DC !!!
