I was 13 years old when I attended this Christmas Eve concert, and although it was a long time ago and I drank half a bottle of Blackberry Nip (alcohol), I still remember the energy when AC/DC hit the stage with Bon Scott upfront. AC/DC was 1 of 3 Australian bands playing that night. The other two bands were Old 55 and Skyhooks. I'll never forget Bon playing up to the crowd and one of the guitarists pushing him off the stage. AC/DC - rock on, live long - forever!

We arrived at this concert early all piling out the back of my HT panelvan. There were three bands on that night, OL 55 were on first, can't remember who was on next, then came the boys. My first AC/DC concert and one not to forget. Bon ripping into the songs, Baby Please Don't Go was a favourite. Angus climbing on the speakers, playing that axe like no tomorrow. If I remember correctly the show finished with police (actors I believe) taking the boys off stage. A great night.

The first of many times I've seen AC/DC. Many were there for Skyhooks but for me it was AC/DC all the way. I was 13 and went out the back of the Pavilion and got all there autographs then went back inside and got my sisters ticket and got it autographed also. I still have my autographed ticket. I was up front standing next to a speaker that was huge, I couldn't hear properly for days...best christmas ever

I won tickets that morning from 2SM after desperate dialing on our black bakerlite phone. I begged mum until she caved to please take my best friend, Roxanne and me to the concert. She took us on the train and we bolted inside while she had to line up outside to buy her own ticket! Roxanne and me made it up the front near the right hand side of the stage and everyone was pushing and I remember a girl fainting and having to be taken away. We were there to see Skyhooks and AC/DC were on before them. Angus and Bon were being very risque with the microphone and afterwards my mum told me she was disgusted by the language. I can't believe I was only 11 years old and remember it so well. What an honour to have been there. Poor mum had to come home late and wrap all the Christmas presents and never let me forget that for the rest of her life! What a mum! Thanks June!
