I was 15 years old, year 9 at school. This was my first rock concert and what an introduction to a life time of live music. $2.50 for the ticket and I had gone mainly to see headliners Skyhooks. Also on the bill were the Stevie Wright Band (ex Easybeats) Stevie doing backflips and somersaults over the stage. A band called Scandal with a Bowie lookalike. Aussie glamrock legends HUSH who were loud and brilliant. Rex GOH on bass just punched you through to your guts. (Why dont you all Get Rocked!) Funny.
A few other bands, Renee Geyer, Mother Goose, so long ago.
Then there was AC/DC! Blew me away. High Voltage the album had not been released yet only a few singles. Some of the songs that stand out in no particular order were:
"You Ain't Got a Hold on Me", "She's Got Balls", "Can I Sit Next To You Girl", and "Baby, Please Dont Go." Vini, Vidi, Vici... They came, they saw, they kicked arse.
There was a Gary Glitter version of "Baby, Please Please Dont Go" around the same time which had a different quality to it however AC/DC just bled with passion.
There was a rope spider's web to the left of the stage which Bon would climb, hangin by his legs upside down and never missed a beat.
Then Skyhooks came out, finished a great day and night that has lived in my memory as one of the best concerts ever and I have seen plenty since December 1974. My ears ring pretty much all the time now but its been worth. 37 years ago bloody hell.
I'd like to get a copy of the concert to see if was good as I remember, but then again, I should let it live forever as perfect in my mind. Rock on,....

It's a very long time ago but i was there as a grotty 15 year old, packing it because I was sitting in the Hordern Pavilion surrounded by sharpies ("chicks" who cut their hair short leaving a wafting mullet at the back, whose uniform was a small bonds T-shirt and bellybutton high flared Amco jeans...beautiful).
Unfortunately I can't remember the set list, but is was a short set as they were sharing the stage with Skyhooks, Stevie Wright, and I 'm not sure who else.
Bon's entrance was incredible. Behind the band was a huge spider's web made from rope. As the band started to play to open the set Bon climbed down the rope like a big redback spider singing up a storm, very cool!
Also can remember Angus blowing me away with his one handed guitar solo, first time I'd seen this done, really glad i went. This is how I remember it anyway, but it was 37 years ago....

Was a kid that had just turned 14 and living in Sydney at the time.
This gig was being filmed for TV pretty sure it was eventually aired in 1975 by channel 9 in Australia late at night.
Went to see the headline band from Melbourne that was very popular at the time called Skyhooks, there were also Stevie Wright who was the original singer of the Easybeats whose Malcolm and Angus' older brother, George, formed and played in. Others I remember are the La de Da's (Kevin Borich) and Renae Geyer.
I remember being up close to the Stage when AC/DC were on, I don't remember the set but still remember being completely blown away by the energy, especially the small guitarist who was a complete ball of energy and the singer who was a great front man, very engaging.
Don't remember the spiders web that others have spoken about but I seem to remember Angus being in a a very bright coloured silk superhero costume with a cape. Don't think he got the schoolboy outfit going at that time, or my old memory is just playing tricks on me, it was 45 years ago after all.
Have been watching some AC/DC video's on Youtube from the late 70's and it is the energy and great pure Rock and Roll that stays with me.
