Just returned from Nürnberg, (about 150 km North of Munich.).
This was my 12th AC/DC Concert, the last of the SUL - Tour for
me ...- saw them in Stuttgart, Munich (2x), Vienna, Munich again,
PARIS !!! - and Nürnberg, of course.I´ve been looking
forward to see the TOTEN HOSEN, but a little dissapointing -
they opend as the first special guest at about six o´clock,
the stadium was only filled to the half... - altough they did
a very good job, the crowd was realy into it an they even had
to come again to play an encore- not to bad if you think of
the other opening bands we have seen the last months.... ..
The following BLACK CROWES were realy dissapointing, no word
to loose about this band - no spirit, no feeling, just terrible...
in my opinion, but most of the crowd thougt the same, i think.
... I hope they´ll change that for the forthcoming concert
in COLONGE....
THE MASTERS OF ROCK started rocking at 20.50, same procedure
as every day...Video, SUL, YSMANL.. it´s unbelievable
whow they made the crowd go wild within seconds...- and keeping
it up for more than two hours.... Sound was a little bit poorer
than munich and paris i think, it´s the first time now
i´ve got ringing ears....
I´m really looking forward for the - hopefully - upcoming
tours... HAVE FUN, HAMBURG, TORINO, BASEL and - especially -
COLOGNE. I´d die to see Campino on stage with Angus, and
i think they´ll do something special for the last concert...
By the way, they also played an extra encore in nürnberg
- shot down in flames, same as in munich... See you all in a
few years....

Hi there, just a few comments on the AC/DC - show that took
place at the Frankenstadion in Nürnberg last friday (June,
29th):
The support acts were "Die Toten Hosen" and "The
Black Crowes". The weather and the location was great.
"Die Toten Hosen" played first and did a pretty good
job as an support act (although the band is not one of my favourites
;-) ). The audience enjoyed the show and was in a very good
mood while and after the "Hosen" show.
The Black Crowes were nice but I think a great part of the audience
did not like the performance as much as the "Hosen"
show. I have seen the Black Crowes at the Monster Of Rock festival
(in 1991) and as far as I can remember that show was much better
than the Nürnberg performance ?! Anyways, it was nice to
see them performing live again.
While the stage was set up for Angus & Co. the audience
was having another beer, was doing the La-Ola thing over and
over again and was waiting for AC/DC to come out and play.
At 08:50 p.m. the Angus statue - video started and the audience
was on fire from the first chords of the opener "Stiff
Upper Lip" until the very last song. I think it is needless
to mention the highlights of the show (Angus strip, the bell,
cannons etc.) at this point as if you certainly know what I
am talking about !? :-)
As Angus and Brian frequently used the walkway which was built
in the middle of the stadium, I sometimes really was concerned
about the guys not falling down from that walkway (as it looked
very narrow from my point of view) .... ;-)
Brian was very excited about the audience as they were singing
and clapping along with all the classic AC/DC tracks. He was
smiling and shouting at Angus a few times while they were doing
"The Jack", pointing to the audience as if he was
saying "Look at this great sight, Angus !". Angus
seemed to be very concentrated so I was not able to recognize
any reaction on Brian's shouts, but I am sure that the band
was pleased by the grateful audience.
IMHO AC/DC are one of the few great top acts that really show
their fans their appreciation, which is great ! Most of the
top acts that I know hardly speak to or look at their fans during
the concert (except for "Die Toten Hosen", they are
also a very fan-friendly band and they keep the ticket and merchandising
prices very low in comparison to other bands).
The setlist for the Nürnberg show was the same as in Munich,
except for the change of "The Jack" and "Up To
My Neck In You" (I guess that Brian mixed it up :-) ).
- Stiff Upper Lip
- You Shook Me All Night Long
- Problem Child
- Thunderstruck
- Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be
- Hard As A Rock
- Shoot To Thrill
- Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution
- What Do You Do For Money, Honey
- Bad Boy Boogie
- Hells Bells
- The Jack
- Up To My Neck In You
- Back In Black
- Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
- Highway To Hell
- Whole Lotta Rosie
- Let There Be Rock
- T.N.T.
- For Those About To Rock
- Shot Down In Flames
As you can see we were also lucky to hear "Shot Down In
Flames" as a second encore (with Brian performing that
song topless, which I have never seen before) Although I really
would have liked to hear "Ride On" 8-O, I was happy
that they showed up again. All in all it was a great show and
the people where very enthusiastic on their way back home.
That's It ! Hope to see the boys again soon !
Greetings from sunny Munich,
Clausi.
P.S.: I hope that the rumour will become true and the boys will
release a Live Video from their current World Tour in october
or november (hopefully they will choose the Munich performance
:-) ). Can anybody confirm this rumour ?

The setlist in Hamburg was the same like at the other european
gigs this year. They started early, 08:20 p.m., and finished
after For those ... with big fireworks. They played no song
after For those...
I can remember what Brian said before Up to my neck in you.
He said to the crowd, that he`ll pay $50 for this person, who
knows from wich album the next song is. Nice question. I think,
less than 1% of the audience knows the answer. (But me, for
sure..). I think in Hamburg where 50-60 thousand people. By
the way. Because there are only 3 gigs left this year the merchandise
people started to change the prices for some t-shirts. Now one
shirt is DM30 instead of DM50, the football-shirt is now DM100
instead of DM160. But they don`t wanna make the best tourshirt
this year cheaper (I asked) because this shirt is the bestseller
this year. Well, I wanna go to Cologne too and `ll have a look
to the shirt prices on their last show.

Well, well, well, this was my 8th gig of the SULtour. I must
say that I felt tired before the show and had something like,
did I see AC/DC too much over the years, are they too predictable?
It must have been my mood. After a real boring show the Black
Crowes left the stage as quiet as they came on. Nothing special
really.
30 minutes earlier than normal the band started off with the
funny intro video followed by the first tunes of "Stiff
Upper Lip". Because of the strong wind the sound was not
quite clear as normal, sometimes you could hear Angus'guitarsound
very loud, then Brian's shreeking voice dominated everything.
Me and my pal Robert (who really loved the Black Crowes ?!?x!?xx!)
went a bit more towards the middle of the field and had a much
better view and sound.
I have seen them many times over the years, but this gig was
a bit different. You could see it in all little details.
Angus and Brain had a lot of interaction, laughing faces. Before"The
Jack" they had a short question and answergame. Brian introduced
a lot of the songs. Angus had way more energy then the Autumntour
in Europe, moved, banged and in nearly every song he did do
his duckwalk. Brian and Angus both used the catwalk about a
dozen times, again something which Angus did only three times
before.
In my opinion the had a faster pace with playing the songs,
especially a lot faster than the Ballbreakertour.
Another aspect of the gig the warm and friendly Hamburg audience.
The whole day had a festival kind of atmosphere. Perhaps it
got something to do with the way the stage was set up. Set up
in front of the sun. That meant that AC/DC played until Hells
Hells in daylight and full sunshine. Have you ever seen that
guys???? Pretty cool for this time.
Two little minor things, Angus made a lot of little mistakes
on his guitar, probably too sweaty, the other was that because
of the great gig I expected an encore (Shot down...). But no....
at last they had a wonderful Fireworkshow which completed this
great day!!!!!!Hope to see ya al at the Koln-gig.

Brian die Menge Nice to see you. Its a good place
for Rockn Roll. I smell it Und ab diesem Zeitpunkt
We Salute all AC/DC Fans and hope to see AC/DC and you soon.
Frank, Susi, Thorsten, Rico, Rene, Andrea, Andrea, Dennis and
much more.

Hi again, now back from Hamburg... and it's been really awesome
again. No surprises in the setlist or encores but a really nice
introduction to "The Jack" between Angus and Brian
- somehow improvising a little. I think I have never heard it
like that.
Especially Brian, he's becoming more and more cooler and talkier
than in earlier years. Always joking: "This place is really
rockin' - I can smell it... what are you smokin' down there
?" And really nice fireworks afterwards, so Happy New Year
;o) See you in Cologne !

can´t say that i´ve been to that many ac dc concerts
but anyway this was my eight. the first one was back in 84 when
i was 13 years old and watched em´play the monsters of
rock. the last one was two weeks ago at ullevi stadium in sweden.
so at least i have a few to compare with. i have to say this
one was probably the best i ve ever seen. the italians went
totally crazy. on beforehand i was a bit disappointed that the
boys kind of put the autopilot on. never changed the setlist, same
yesterday, but they´re played in such a perfect way so
you really cant complain. favourite song must be up to my neck
in you. shoot to thrill live is as always ten times better than
on the record. i´ve only got on question, when are they
gonna start play more songs of their masterpiece power age?
u t m n i y is a good start but i want to here more...
forza acca dacca and italia!!

Torino, 4 luglio 2001
visibilio perchè c'è subito YOU SHOOK ME ALL NIGHT
LONG; acclamata anche la successiva PROBLEM CHILD. L'inconfondibile
BE (tratta da Let There Be Rock) durante la quale Angus si spoglia
Graditissima
HARD AS A ROCK, accompagnata da un simpaticissimo clip... Poi
quattro brani leggendari tratti da Back In Black (è l'album
più rappresentato): la leggendaria SHOOT TO THRILL, WHAT
DO YOU DO FOR MONEY HONEY e HELLS BELLS dove Bryan si lancia
appeso alla epica campana. Quattro brani inframezzati da BAD
BOY BOOGIE, anche questa tratta da Let There Be Rock.
Da Powerage è tratta la splendida UP TO MY NECK IN YOU,
seguita poco dopo dall'immancabile THE JACK dove Bryan canta
saltano all'unisono. Fiamme e lapilli ci introducono HIGHWAY
TO HELL, cantata a squarciagola dal pubblico, e WHOLE LOTTA
irresistibile.
Tocca alla lunghissima LET THERE BE ROCK, con Angus che gira
FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK che chiude con i 6 cannoni che sparano
L'ottima presenza on stage dei nostri è stata incorniciata
e i maxi-schermi, i fumi e i cannoni...
eravamo davvero in molti).....Angus!...Angus!...Angus!...

In forma smagliante, i
Robert Johnson i pezzi forti dello Show.

Stiff upper lip (grande inizio)
You shook me all night long (un classico sempre vivo)
Problem Child (grande pezzo- cantata ottimamente)
Thunderstruck (Thunder- Thunder)
Hell aint' a bad place to be (ottimo "vecchio" pezzo)
Hard as a rock (bellissimo pezzo dall 'album "Ballbreaker")
Shoot to thrill (senza parole, Brian da applausi)
R'n'R ain't noise pollution (uno dei miei pezzi preferiti)
What do you do for money honey (Apoteosi)
Bad boy boogie (grande Angus solo)
Hells Bells (Fantastica)
Up to my neck in you ( bel pezzo dall'album "Powerage")
The Jack (grande partecipazione del pubblico)
Back in Black (spettacolare)
Dirty deeds (Basta il titolo)
Highway to hell (grandiosa canzone con show do luci e fuochi)
Let there be rock (Angus solo, grande Phil con la batteria)
Tnt (pura dinamite)
Fot those about to rock (l'ultima straordinaria conzone)

ore 14:00 - arriviamo allo stadio Delle Alpi
ore 17:30 - finalmente entriamo nello stadio.
ore 20:00 - Sul palco arrivano i GOTTHARD. Porco cane! Possibile
attendere. Il pubblico è caldissimo. Finalmente i maxischermi
note di Stiff Upper Lip. Assolutamente fantastico!
e Hell ain't a bad place to be), che solitamente non vengono
proposte live (almeno così mi sembra). Le scenografie
erano grandiose:
corna incandescenti;
lunga rincorsa (Hells Bells);
to Hell);
-una mega Rosie danzante gonfiata (Whole lotta Rosie);
-le mutande di Angus con la bandiera dell'Italia;
-sei e dico sei cannoni (For those about to rock)
-spettacolo pirotecnico finale.
