Holy Crap that concert was awesome. The living end were pretty good but it was evident that everyone wanted AC/DC when their singer asked if we wanted AC/DC and the crowd went nuts.
There was a long wait before AC/DC came out but as soon as the lights dimmed the crowd went crazy and AC/DC were announced with Angus coming out and bowing to the crowd before starting the brilliant show off with You shook me all night long.
The sound was superb and Brian Johnson sounded terrific. His voice was easy to hear amongst all the guitars and he was clear and loud.
Brian Johnson is a champion!! I recon i spent just as much time watching him as i did angus if not more.
Speaking of Angus, he did his typically great performance sweating twice as much as Pat Rafter could ever dream of.
Highlights were when the band suddenly broke into Hell aint a Bad Place To Be (a very nice surprise).
Hells Bells got every one pumped heaps, but Back In Black and Dirty Deeds just got the crowd into a monstrous frenzy of fisting the air and jumping up and down.
Shot Down In Flames was also great and sounded terrific. Another song that the crowd went ballistic to was Shoot To Thrill (nearly my favorite song ever) and The Jack had the crowd singing loudly.
Theres too much I can say so I'd better shut up now and I can safely say that the show was absolutly incredible and I think i'm gonna go to the last Melbourne show tomorrow cos they are so great.
One last thing-the cannons in For those about to rock are that damn loud and thunderous that your whole body vibrates, its fucken awesome.

Well well well the greatest concert u could ever see. fantastic set of songs to bad they didn't play more of their great songs oh well can't win em all. Thunderstruck went off but some old fart behind me asked me to sit down what a prick. Living End was alright too but no match for AC/DC they really are the greatest band ever. Jeff

It was an absolute fantastic gig. I saw Acca Dacca for the 10th time and they are still the best band around. On the recent tour I saw them aswell in Stuttgart and in Zuerich. The Songlist was more or less the same as the European one, except Sin City. There was a great athmosphere at the Rod Laver Arena. Yesterday (1st March) I was in Fremantle and gave Bon a huge salute. AC/DC Rules!!

  • Josh the Buttonman
This Buttonman from Seattle, saw (3) MELB. shows, plus the (2) in Sydney. My vacation was OUTRAGEOUS! The fans before the shows were lots of fun to hang out with! Triple M was playing loud AC/DCin front of the arena, and it doesn't get any better than MELBOURNE (for me). And that's why I made it back! These FIVE show's were AWESOME! We had 2nd row, left/side, for 2/11 & 2/14. My review isjust letting you know the BUTTONMAN enjoyed being there and meeting ALL YOU FANS! Some remembered seeing me from '96 Tour! Let me know that you saw me at any of these shows? Well, next up for me is? ....the Tacoma Dome, April 20th! "641" Badges! ...LET'S ROCK!
