Fan Reviews - Week 8, USA

Angus Young is without a doubt one of the greatest live performing guitarist ever! On a HOT Tuesday night in the "Shark Tank" San Jose CA, AC DC pretty much brought the house down. As previous reviews have stated they opened up with "you shook me all night long" and of course closed with "For Those About......" in typical AC DC fashion, old fashion cannons exploding so loud the floor shook.
The show was sprinkled with a few new songs, "Safe in NYC.." "Stiff upper lip". Typical fan favorites "Whole lotta Rosie" "TNT" "Shot down in Flames" "The Jack" "Bad Boy Boogie" "Let There be Rock" "Dirty Deeds" "Highway to Hell" "Ballbreaker" "Thunderstruck".....4 Tracks from Back in Black...The title track, of course "You shook me.." "Rock and Roll ain't Noise Pollution" "Hells Bells".
Songs I would have liked to have heard, "Jailbreak" "Who Made Who" "Live Wire" . Not so strange, there were no songs from "Fly on the Wall" or "Flick of the Switch". All the typical props were represented, the Bell, Cannons, giant Angus Statue, lots of fire for "Highway...." What was oddly missing was Angus coming out on stage on Brian Johnson's shoulders, that is an AC DC trademark, I found that very odd, maybe I missed it checking out some of the local "action" parading in front of me all night long, but I am pretty sure I would have caught that.
All in all, another high energy concert by AC DC, this band never fails to deliver. I have seen them 5 times, and they always put on a great show. This is one of those concerts you don't want to end. If it had not been for my ears ringing so bad the next morning I may have driven to Oakland to see them play the very next day!!!
I do believe the Oakland show is the last night of the US tour, this is a band you get to catch once every 5 years, if you have never seen them, make a point to if they come around again. These guys aren't young, but the energy level is amazing. Most of the crowd (including myself) never sat down the entire night.

Saw the boys in Oakland, CA Wednesday night (9/20). Even at post-40, they're still the loudest, rockinest band I've ever seen! Angus is still a maniac, and the funniest stage personality in showbiz. They covered a lot of familiar ground; Bad Boy Boogie, The Jack, Whole Lotta Rosie, Let There Be Rock, and lots of other favorites from the both the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras. Always tight, and always louder than Spinal Tap! Starting the show with You Shook Me All Night Long was a nice touch too.
These guys always give their fans a great time. Keep it up guys, you're an inspiration to us all!

What can I say here that hasn't already been said........ Foolishly, I waited too long to see AC/DC. But now I have. It was a no bullshit, down-to-earth, honest performance. They left it all on the stage......absolutely brilliant!! A couple of complaints.....the Oakland Arena is a shit venue for a concert. The room needs some serious acoustical improvement. As for Slash's Snakepit......a load of sad, trashy Southern Californian bollocks!!
