Well, I've had an 11 hour drive home from Quebec City to think about I'd say here and even rehearsed a bit with the guys in the hot rod roadtrip mobile. So here goes....
While this site is a wicked place for those who can't see the boys I was worried that I knew too much about the show before hand. Nope. Funny how great rock can wipe your memory clean ! From the opening chords of YSMANL to the last cannon blast. The lads rocked unlike anyone I have ever seen before. I feel sorry for the 16 year old kid who sat in front of me, what will he ever see to top this ? Like everyone else I gotta bitch about shirt prices I said "It will take a near religious experience for me to toss $40 - $55 for a $15 T-shirt", I guess I didn't realize I was about to see THE GODS OF ROCK & ROLL !!!!! Show notes...great to hear SINYC everyone singing the new stuff word for word (Back in Black Pt 2) & those of you who saw the show in Quebec will know what I mean when I say "She's got the Jack" Mother of god what a set !!! Cheers from Nova Scotia. See you at the stadium next summer !

Wow….amazing let me tell you AC-DC still got you by the balls. Yes AC-DC is one of the greatest. The show was perfect Brian is hot Angus is still running around and the other boys are just fucking amazing. The opening of the show with You shook me all night long was not as spectacular than usual (as an opening song) but that’s the only little thing. The more I see AC-DC in concert (10 times this year) the more they get older….the more they KICK ASS….it was so loud and heavy just unbelievable. I got the chance to be front row and let me tell you Angus is one of the greatest. This big statue of angus behind the drum kit is very nice , It’s got horn and smoke is coming out of is mouth. One of the highlight is when they play THE JACK where a women (probably a dancer) show her tit and even got her pants down where her friends where dripping beer on her but and of course the camera man got it on the giant screen. The boys couldn’t believe their eyes they were smiling and every member of the band where watching the big screen. Brian and Angus went for a ride in the middle of the crowd on Hell’s Bell’s with the stage going thru the people. On hard as a rock they were funny video of animal fucking around. They had big flames thru the air on Highway to Hell and on the front row you could fell the heat coming in. For those about to rock close the show of 2 hours of non-stop Rock’n'Roll.
Highlight of the show : Satellite Blues, The jack, Thunderstruck, Bad boy boogie.
Disappointment : The opening of the show….Rock n Roll ain't noise pollution (they should have played Gone shooting instead or Can’t stand still) and Hell ain't a bad place to be.
As for Slash’s Snakepit it was horrible…Slash was so fucking drunk that at the end of the show he wasn’t able to bring back is guitar by himself he let it drop on the floor an when he left the stage he almost fell down. He had is eyes close for the entire show….he was somewhere else.

AC/DC are the greatest band that ever existed! If you don't think so then I'd suggest that you save me the trouble and shoot yourself. The show last night was the greatest I have ever seen. Everything was perfect. The band was tight, the set-list was perfect and the sound was INCREDIBLE!!! In fact the songs were so damn awesome they were almost like the studio versions....But with a little more of an edge. Angus's guitar was heavily distorted just the way I like it. The whole night was like a huge party, people making out, people smoking joints and not to mention there was a LOT of hot chicks there with their nice bodies and tight ass jeans, just the way I like it! During "The Jack" some super hot chick showed off her tits on the big screen. Even Malcolm and Cliff decided to look up and take a peak! And "Bad Boy Boogie" kicks extreme ass!! The band played 3 SUL songs! "Stiff Upper Lip" "Satellite Blues" and "Safe In New York City"!!! Those songs kick the studio versions ass!!!! And Brian really kicked some ass also! Well, there's really nothing much else to say! August 15th 2000 will forever be the greatest day of my life! THANK YOU AC/DC!!!

Last night, Montreal, Canada was shaken all night long by the loudest, baddest rock n roll band ever conceived on this ball of dirt. Yeah, you guessed it. AC/DC. It was a true gift from the dark lord to be a part of this event. Lights, sounds, drums, and guitars were there, accompanied by cannons and a huge golden statue of the master himself... ANGUS!!! The girls were hot, the guys were drunk and everybody was a superstar, just like an AC/DC concert crowd should be. We were sleeping during Slash's performance, even though our eyes opened a bit when he started the first chords of Mr. Brownstone. But when the lights went out during the ten minute break after Slash's Pukepit, everyone went wild. Even yours truly, yes, I was in heaven... or Hell... Every AC/DC show is the same, just like the albums. But that ain't a bad thing. In fact, why the fu.. change a winning recipe for kicking ass? And that's what AC/DC does best... KICK ASS!!! A down size? Sure there's a down side. The price of the tickets. But between you and me... it was worth every penny!

UNBELIEVABLE!!!! AC/DC is without a doubt the greatest Rock N' Roll band of all time. This was the best concert I have ever been to! The crowd was really into it (which is saying something for a Montreal crowd) everyone was on their feet from start to finish! I went to the Boston show last week and I would have to say this one was better. The Molson Center was built much better for concerts than the Fleet Center. The set lists were the same except that in Boston they played "Get It Hot" instead of "Safe in New York City." You gotta love the band, they have a great time out there, you can tell they truly want to be there! As always for me "For Those About to Rock" was the highlight, I just lose it!!!! But I am a fan of all their albums and love all the tunes. If you have never seen AC/DC you owe it to yourself to see them at least once, then you will want to see the again and again!!!! AC/DC WE SALUTE YOU!!!

My first AC/DC concert and they didn't disappoint me, best concert I have ever seen, the fans were on their feet for the whole 2 hours, still pumped 36 hours later. Same set list as in Ottawa. If you're a real AC/DC fan and have never seen them live before, go see them during this tour no telling how many more chances you have left. Best song "Highway to Hell" great special effects. Montreal saw Malcolm move, during a song someone threw a beachball on stage, Malcolm took 4 steps and kicked it back into the crowd. Slash's Snakepit was average, only song anyone knew was " Mr Brownstone " ( Giz's favorite ). ALL HAIL AC/DC

I JUST RETURNED FROM THE ATLANTA SHOW. ONLY TWO WORDS CAN DESCRIBE IT, "PURE ENERGY". I'VE SEEN EVERY BIG NAME ROCKER SINCE THE MID 70'S AND I CAN'T THINK OF A BETTER SHOW THAN I SAW LAST NIGHT. SONG SELECTION WAS ABOUT PERFECT. MY OPINION OF COURSE. THEY HAVE NOT LOST ONE STEP IN PUTTING ON A GREAT SHOW. BETTER THAN EVER. ONLY WAY TO FEEL IT. "GET YOUR TICKET NOW".

  • Jackie
Man! The show was unbelievable! I'm 13 years old and I had my dad take me all the way from Fort Lauderdale to see them because this was the closest they were coming to us for the SUL Tour. It was worth every mile man! My Dad wasn't all that exited about taking me but after the show, he agreed it was totally worth almost 700 miles! Didn't like Slash's Snakepit too much. Slash himself was awesome though. I've seen bands from the Stones to Skynyrd to B.B. King but AC/DC tops them all! Blues, metal, ROCK 'N ROLL!
Man, the moment the guy announced them we all jumped out of our seats because we were so freakin' exited man! Its unexplainable. The moment the first notes of YSMANL rang through our (already half deaf) ears at 1 million decibels, we were in heavenly, rockin, bliss! My favorite parts of the show were the very beginning, Whole Lotta Rosie, when Brian reached into the crowd to have a sip of someone's beer, the end of Dirty Deeds when Angus screams, and oh man, every part of the show was so cool! I was surprised Angus didn't moon us; just showed us his American Flag boxers. They still rock as good as ever. Angus does every move he's done from the very beginning, from his signature duck walk to his nervous shakedown (not to mention doing it 30 ft in the air)! I hope these guys go on forever and definitely don't stop anytime soon. People are calling them old but its amazing what kind of energy they have, all of them in their late 40's to early 50's! If you don't go to this show, you will miss out on the show of the year, for sure!

  • Terry
I've known this band since I was 10, my older brother turning me onto "dirty deeds..." I'm now 32 & have seen many, many shows during that time, but never the lads from Australia.
I now really know what I've been missing. This show completely rocked my ass off!!!! "Rosie" was best by far & would've loved "who made who." I'm still not believing how much better this show was than pearl jam a couple of weeks ago. I've heard rumblings of this being a last tour. I can only hope this is not the case, for this is truly metal meca.

  • Scott Peterson
Seen them seven times over the years and even had front row in 85. I was not going to attend this years tour but, my old school buddy talked me into it etc. so glad I made it as my voice was lost when over lol. Nice to hear bad boy boogie again instead of jailbreak for the angus strip show. Usually you have a moderate sound level until the crew can bring it up but I noticed the decibel level jumped quick within the first two songs and it was heaven after that .I can't be selfish and hope for another tour as I am aware of the physical stress and age the guy's endure. In my early years the sound of that S G kept me sane as I not into lyrics being a musician myself. It was very emotional hearing them again and want to say thank you for their unique sound that had made me feel so good over my younger years.

  • Josh Swint
I've listened to AC/DC for as long as I cant remember, I'm almost 19 years old and actually seeing them in concert was almost a religious experience. Slash's Snake Pit hurt my ears, not that they weren't good, but when Ac/Dc cranked it up, I was begging for more, if there's any music I wanna go deaf to, its them. I don't think life could have gotten any better at that moment. AC/DC OWNS YOU =)

  • Drew Bacon
It was a couple days after my 15th birthday and my uncle got me VIP seats for my birthday. AC/DC is my favorite band and it was my first concert so I was excited. My father went with me. Before the concert he wasn't a big ACDC fan but by the end of the night he was singing their songs. The band chose a great setlist starting with "you shook me all night long". "Shoot to Thrill" and "For those about to rock were the best songs of the night. A crowd favorite was the Jack. Anyone who went to the concert knows why. Another crowd favorite was "Dirty Deeds". The guitar solo in that song is incredible! Angus was crazy! He has so much energy. Brian Johnson sounded great. I was a little scared his voice would sound different because he played many shows before Atlanta. It was my first concert, but I am certain AC/DC is the best live band ever!

  • Mark G Watson
The August 17th show in Atlanta was phenomenal...I've seen my favorite band in the world over a half-dozen times now and each show seems to be better then the last...The Stiff Upper Lip Tour is no exception...The set list drew equally from Bon era and Brian era tunes...10 each, with the 'Back In Black' and 'Let There Be Rock' albums representing almost half of the set list.. For the first time that I can remember, 'Sin City' was not performed, but I was glad to hear 'Safe In New York City' included...A fantastic rock and roll show from the best rock and roll band in the world, AC/DC!

The concert at Nissan Pavilion Saturday night was AWESOME! I have been an AC/DC freak for 20 years now and this was only my second concert. I saw them at the Capital Center in 1996 with the Ballbreaker Tour. I was even more excited this time. From the opening notes of You Shook Me All Night Long, which sent shivers down my spine, to the confetti shooting at the end of For Those About to Rock, I was on my feet, dancing, screaming, punching my arms in the air. Yes, I am 33, but I had more fun than the 10 year old boy in the seat beside me (I think)! The set list was the same as other reviews mentioned, with Safe in New York City replacing Get it Hot. I had read all the reviews and was eager to see Angus's statue. It was much cooler than I anticipated. The interesting thing was that the band kind of ignored their props. It was just straight rock and roll. Brian Johnson was more animated than I expected. I barely took my eyes off him. He was running around, dancing, and looking like he was having the time of his life. In contrast, Malcolm, Cliff, and Phil were all no-nonsense. These guys are serious about their music! Angus was just adorable, especially during his strip-tease and when donning his devil horns and doing his Homer Simpson/Chuck Berry dances. I am so glad I went. It was one of the most enjoyable nights of my life. If you like AC/DC, by all means, go see them live. The are the BEST!!

Today is Saturday i just got home from Virginia. I live in West Virginia and MY NECK IS STILL HURTING! I THOUGHT MY HEAD WAS GOIN' TO FALL OFF BY THE END OF THE CONCERT! We drove a motorcycle home and my neck barely supported the helmet on my head cause it hurt so bad. MAN...I'M SPEECHLESS it was the greatest night of my life!!!
I've waited 15 years to see them and it was definitely worth it. It was pure energy!!! Angus was great! and Brian really impressed me I thought he done an excellent job! They were all great! It was like a hippie and headbangers reunion!!! I seen a lot of old fans there and a lot of new. I loved the 30 foot tall Angus statue!!! and the hells bell and of course the cannons at the end!!!
Angus hasn't lost a step he's still that twelve year old schoolboy for sure!!!!
Now for Snakepit uh... well... um... slash was ok, and I'll just leave Snakepit to that cause that's all Snakepit is "slash"
But back on the AC/DC part... I was hoping that they would have little statues of angus like on the front of album but they didn't so aww well it was still awesome!!! I thought the shirts were pretty expensive but I still got $150 worth of stuff
so for all u AC/DC Fans that plan on buying a few things u better bring quite a bit of mula! Oh yeah and if u don't get to go you're missing the time of your life!

The Nissan Pavilion. Bristow, VA, August 19,2000
The perfect night for an outdoor show! Opening the show was
Slash's Snakepit, a five piece hard edge heavy metal band. They're no Guns "N" Roses, but they did do a pretty close imitation of Mr. Brownstone. I recommend to anyone going to see AC/DC, check out the Snakepit. They're Bad Ass. Give 'em a chance!
Promptly at 9:00 pm, The worlds GREATEST Rock and Roll band took the stage! AC/DC Ripped through the opener You shook me, and shake me they did! The sound was phenomenal!!! The drums were loud, the bass was pumping, the guitar was electric, and the voice was the raspy one of Brian Johnson! Taking center stage was the golden Angus statue, but the real ANGUS stole the show! Looking on in the background, in just as much amazement as the crowd , were Cliff, Malcolm, Brian and Phil. Only proving that the band has just as much admiration for ANGUS as the fans do! That's Cool!
A 2 hour set filled with pure adrenaline rushing AC/DC tunes featured #2 Shot down in flames #3 Stiff upper lip (Featuring the video up on the big screen), #4 Thunderstruck (THUNDER!), #5 Hell ain't a bad place to be, #6 Hard as a rock (Watch the screen), #7Shoot to thrill, #8 Rock and Roll ain't noise pollution, #9 Safe in NYC (featuring a video montage of NYC hot spots), #10 Bad Boy Boogie (of course ANGUS stripped down to his shorts, giving Virginia a peek at his red white and blue boxers, While the rest of the band played fully amused), #11 Hells Bells (This song proves that Brian Johnson is still young at heart. Swinging from a rope that hung from the bell like a rambunctious teenager), #12 Satellite Blues (an obvious crowd favorite), #13 The Jack( This is where the ladies in the arena repay ANGUS for stripping, by showing him and the rest of the arena there bare breasts. Check out the big screen during this one), #14 Dirty Deeds, #15 Back In Black, #16 Highway to Hell (Flames shoot out from the stage during this Classic), #17 Whole lotta Rosie (During this song, a video version of the balloon is blown up on the big screen), #18 Let there be rock (this one had an unbelievable call and response from the crowd),#19 The Encore: T.N.T., #20 Last but not least. The traditional AC/DC farewell song, For Those About To Rock, featuring 6 canons that went off every time Brian said FIRE! All in all it was a must see show! AC/DC shook Bristow VA, All Night Long. The crowd was shakin', the earth was quakin', My ears were aching! AC/DC- Need I say more?

  • Ed Jones
Of all the shows I have seen since 1985, tonight's AC/DC show in VA was the absolute best. The rocked better than any band I have ever seen. Angus wore his maroon colored outfit for tonight's show and was unbelievable. I loved the Angus statue, the funny video clips during "Hard As A Rock" and every other aspect of this incredible show. This was my first AC/DC concert and it was beyond my imagination and expectations. I can't hear a thing right now and my throat is sore and raw from singing along to all the great songs. I hope that everyone gets a chance to see this incredible show! ROCK ON!!!!!

  • John Davis
Whew! What a show! We stood the whole time, and I sang every song word for word. Major sore throat today. From the opening chords of YSMANL to the cannon blasts of FTATR, the Thunder From Down Under rocked the house last night. The boys were in great form and musicianship. Brian was whipping the crowd up, while Angus was all over the place being Angus. Malcolm and Cliff did a great job standing. =;) Seriously though, the "boys" really ripped it up. The 30 foot Angus came out during SUL, some tit flashing from the crowd during The Jack, the flame show during HTH, the cartoon on the big screen during HAAR (really funny), the bell for Hells Bells, and of course the cannons! Not only was the music awesome, but "the show" was well performed also. If you get a chance to go, GO! You won't be disappointed.

  • Billy
I have waited 15 years to see my fav band of all time AC/DC. and they were everything and even more than what I thought they would be.. the show was awesome.. they did all the songs that you see on the list that other people have put on here... I would go again tonight and see them and tomorrow nite and the next nite.. I have seen a lot of concerts.. and I have to say this one was the best ever hands down... its a must see concert for any ac/dc fan.. or even any rock fan.. I hope they keep on rockin for years to come and I hope they come back to Nissan again next. year .. I will definitely be there if they do.. as for slash's Snakepit. it was alright.. but I wouldn't pay to just go see them.. if they had a different lead singer I think they would be a very good band.. all you ac/dc fans keep rockin.. later...

  • Matt
Awesome show!!!...Safe in New York City was definitely better than Get It Hot, but would like them to play Can't Hold Me Back. Does anyone agree this is the best song on SUL? Wish they would switch up the set list more, I would probably go see more shows. That's my only complaint, though, as the concert definitely rocked.

  • Elise
WOW.. I saw them Saturday night at Nissan Pavillion, and from the first chord of "You shook me.." to the last cannon shot of "For those about..." it was non stop rockin. Everybody stood, screamed, sang and rocked for 2 hours. I have been a fan for over 22 years and they get better and better. Angus is incredible. GO SEE THEM.. YOU WILL NOT SEE A BETTER TRUE KICK A___ GREAT ROCK AND ROLL SHOW.

  • Mike aka Thunder
I was at the concert at the Nissan Pavilion on August 19th. Sadly, it had been the first AC/DC concert that I had been to, but the just means I was more impressed by it. To say that AC/DC rocks would be an understatement. AC/DC kicks ass. There is no better band out there in the world today, and as far as I’m concerned, there never will be. Like so many others that were at the concert, when the lights dimmed shortly before the first charged chord of You Shook Me All Night Long, I was on my feet. That is where I stayed for two hours, arm pumping in the air, voice harsh from the strain of overuse. I found new respect for some songs that I had never rated as being my favorite. Thanks to the beautiful women that bared their goods during The Jack (especially the blond, the third one to be on the jumbo-tron, WOW), I now have a new taste for that song. Angus never stopped moving, and from what I’ve seen of the videos I own, he hasn’t slowed down a bit. I had once heard that Brian puts 100% into every song and a little extra for Back in Black, and it showed. When AC/DC puts on a concert, the audience isn’t the only ones to benefit. You can tell the AC/DC enjoys putting on a show as much as people love to watch. Personally, I would have loved the concert to have been longer, but I’m greedy that way. I missed some of the classics that had to be dropped for songs from the latest album, but then again, I’d love to hear every song done live. I’m glad that I was finally able to hear AC/DC nearly as loud as I’d like to. I wasn’t deaf by the end of the concert, my ears weren’t ringing or bleeding, but I guess we can’t have everything.
I was standing on the edge of the grass, just behind the seating bowl. I was baffled how some people could just stand there and not get involved. My voice and arm hurt the next day from being used so continually, and some people just stood there. And what was the deal with people leaving during that short break before the finale of TNT and (of course) For Those About To Rock? Didn’t they know that those are two classics that are traditionally the two songs that end almost all of AC/DC’s concerts. I’m already planning to attend next year when they tour the areas that they missed this year.
