  Early 90
  • The band relocates to Windmill Road Studios in Ireland for pre-production. The album is supposed to be produced by Vanda & Young.
  May-June 90
  • The band records "The Razors Edge" at Little Mountain Studios in Vancouver with Bruce Fairbairn producing. Chris Slade is asked to join the band on a permanent basis during the recording.
  August 90
  • 17: Filming of the "Thunderstruck" video at the Brixton Academy in London. Directed by David Mallet.
  September 90
  • 10: Single, "Thunderstruck / Fire Your Guns", released in Europe and Australia. It reaches #13 on the UK charts.

  • 21: "The Razors Edge" released in the US.

  • 24: "The Razors Edge" released in Europe.

  • 25: "The Razors Edge" released in Australia.

  • The new album is being released through Atco, a division of Atlantic Records.

  October 90
  • 6: "The Razors Edge" enters the US Billboard charts, eventually peaking at #2 and selling over 3 million copies there. It reaches #4 on the UK charts.

  • 10: Album “The Razors Edge” and single, “Thunderstruck / Fire Your Guns”, released in Japan.

  • "Back In Black" is certified 10 times Multi-Platinum by the RIAA, reaching 10 million sales in the US. AC/DC’s total worldwide sales reach 60 million units.

  November 90
  • 2 – December 16: 1st leg of the US/Canadian Tour, 34 dates.

  • 6: Filming of the "Moneytalks" video at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. Directed by David Mallet.

  • 10: Single, "Moneytalks / Mistress For Christmas", released in Europe.

  • 12: Single, "Moneytalks / Mistress For Christmas", released in the UK.

  • 14: Single, "Moneytalks / Borrowed Time", released in the US. It reaches #23 on the US Billboard charts.

  • 15: Single, "Moneytalks / Down On The Borderline", released in Australia.
