Archives - September 1998

  • No release for 98 - 09/26/98
  • AC/DC is still in London working on their new album, for which a 1998 release now seems unlikely. An early 99 release looks more realistic.
###
  • Kerrang Awards - 09/26/98
  • In a rare Awards appearance ("we usually avoid them like the plague" as Angus says), Angus & Brian attended the Kerrang! Awards in London in late August, and were presented with the "Hall Of Fame" award for AC/DC. Brian took off his hat to the audience, & Angus took off his pants..

Although available as part of the "Complete Sessions 1970-72" released last year in Australia, this is a worldwide release. • Another Bon Scott re-release is the CD-Single "Round & Round & Round" from Mount Lofty Rangers (Originally released in Australia in 1996), issued in Germany by BMG/Ariola on September 14th. According to the German site Daily Dirt, a special magazine on Bon should be published shortly in connection with this reissue. A video is also being assembled for the title track, with vintage unseen footage of Bon on his motorbike during his Fraternity days.
