SUL vinyl for Germany - 03/01/00
There will be no release of "Stiff Upper Lip" on vinyl in the US or the UK. It will only be released in Germany on March 6th, most probably available as import in other countries.

Trust to release Bon's last recording - 03/01/00
French Hard Rock act TRUST is planning a new CD release this year with a limited edition bonus CD which should include the famous version of "Ride On" they recorded with Bon Scott on February 13th, 1980. This recording, which is Bon's last and is still unavailable on any official release, had been kept in the vaults until late 1997 when lead singer Bernie brought it to French radio station RTL and played it. There is no set release date for this CD which is currently just in the "project" stage.

SUL CD-Single - 03/02/00
"Stiff Upper Lip" will be released as a CD-Single in the UK and Europe on March 20th. It will also contains 2 live tracks recorded in Madrid in July 1996, "Ballbreaker" and "Hard As A Rock".

US live TV appearances - 03/02/00
The band will perform "Stiff Upper Lip" plus another track during "At Large Week" on MTV March 10th. The new album's title track will also be played along with "You Shook me All Night Long" on "Saturday Night Live" on March 18th. The show will be hosted with wrestling star The Rock.

AC/DC Street in Madrid - 03/02/00
Angus & Malcolm will be present for the inauguration of their very own "AC/DC Street" in Madrid on March 29th. The album just entered the Spanish album charts at number 6 for the week ending Feb. 26, which covers only the first day of the new album's sales.

AC/DC on NME Cover - 03/02/00
You've never seen something like this - because It's never happened. It took 24 years for British magazine NME to finally put AC/DC on its cover for their March 4th issue!

Canadian interview - 03/02/00
Angus and Malcolm will be special guest on the "All Access" syndicated radio program in Canada. The Rock Radio Network will have the band live on the air on March 12th at 9:00pm (EST), and will take questions from listeners by phone & email. Please check www.rockradionetwork.com for more info.

SUL #1 in Finland - 03/05/00
"SUL" also topping the charts in its first week of release in Finland (check album chart here), it entered at No. 3 in Australia.

"SUL" is #1 in the German album charts, and entered English album charts at # 12.

AC/DC to tour US this Summer - 03/06/00
According to a recent interview of Malcolm Young, the band should start touring around June/July this year. Other sources confirm that the band will tour the US this summer.

"SUL" is No.7 on the US Billboard album charts for sales week-ending March 6th.

Unfortunately for collectors, the Japanese version of "Stiff Upper Lip" does not contain any bonus track, just a cheap logo sticker, available on first pressing only. As all Japanese release, it also contains all the lyrics. It can be ordered at 101CD.com

Paris instore appearance - 03/10/00
The band will make another in-store appearance, this time in Paris at the Virgin Megastore on March 23rd at 5:00pm. Only Malcolm & Angus will be present.

AC/DC@MTV performance - 03/11/00
AC/DC performed "Stiff Upper Lip" and "Back In Black" live at MTV's Time Square Studios in New York in front of a small crowd. Too bad for the sound... "AC/DC @ MTV" will air again on Sunday at 12:30pm and on March 17th at 4:30pm & 9:30pm.
UPDATE: Although the re-runs were listed a few days ago on MTV's schedule, it seems they have been dropped from their listing.

"Stiff Upper Lip" is No. 3 on the European Top 100 Album charts this week.

SUL video filmed yesterday - 03/15/00
AC/DC filmed the video for "Stiff Upper Lip" in the Tribecca area of New York today and yesterday. It is directed by a certain Andy Morehand in its first video for the band.

The acoustic version of "You Shook Me All Night Long" performed by Angus, Malcolm & Brian on February 29th on K-ROCK's "Out To Lunch" can be downloaded on the station website at www.krockonline.com.

The CD-Single of "Stiff Upper Lip" will be released in Europe on April 3rd.

SNL performance - 03/20/00
Killer performances of "Stiff Upper Lip" and "You Shook Me All Night Long" Saturday night on "Saturday Night Live". Some pictures will be uploaded in the next few days. The show had a 8.2 rating (the highest of the season), with an audience of 10 Million who watched the full show and 20 Million who watched part of it.

"The live performances of "Stiff Upper Lip" and "Back In Black" are available in Real Audio on the MTV-AC/DC page. The live video of "Stiff Upper Lip" from the "AC/DC@MTV" show will be aired again on MTV's "The Return Of The Rock" at 11:00am during week days.

Accoustic YSMANL will not be released - 03/20/00
The acoustic version of "You Shook Me All Night Long" will not be released on record. The band has agreed for it to be available on the internet (at www.krockonline.com), but they recently declared "that's as far as it'll go".

AC/DC Street inauguration - 03/24/00
Some 1,000 fans invaded the Leganés suburban area of Madrid on March 22nd for the inauguration of the "Calle De AC/DC", the "AC/DC Street." To the blasting sound of the band, Angus & Malcolm unveiled the AC/DC Sign with Major José Luis Pérez, also present for the big media event. This area of Madrid was chosen as the location for the street because of its strong Hard Rock fans population. "Stiff Upper Lip" has gone Platinum in Spain, having sold over 100,000 units in less than a month. View the mpg video of the event [6.8MB]

Summer tour plans - 03/24/00
Although no date will be announced before mid-April at the earliest, the band is still making plans for a world tour which should start this Summer in the US.

The CD-Single of "Stiff Upper Lip" came out on March 22nd in most European countries.

"No Bull" on TV - 03/24/00
This Saturday at 1:00am (EST), VH1 US will air a 1 hour edited version of the "No Bull" video, filmed live in Madrid in July 1996.
