  • Bonfire in the UK - 11/23/97
  • "Bonfire", still unreleased in the UK, should come out on a different label before the end of the year in England, and both version (With or without "Back In Black") might be made available. According to photographer Robert Ellis (who contributed to the box set), it appears that disagreements between the band and the UK branch of their label East West is the reason behind the fact that the Box Set has not yet been released in England.

  • TV Show in France, UK - 11/23/97
  • Cable-only channel MCM will air an AC/DC Special on "Blah Blah Metal" tonight at 9.30pm. The one hour show will feature an interview with Angus and Malcolm recorded in London on October 27th, plus many clips. The program will re-run on Thursday November 27th at 11.30pm. MCM will have an "AC/DC Day" early January, by programming an AC/DC video every hour and a special program "L'integrale" at the end of the day.

    The "Friday Rock Show" on VH1 UK did a special on AC/DC on November 14th. The program featured an interview as well as clips.

  • Rock Goes To College Again - 11/23/97
  • On November 21st, Sky Channel in the UK will air the famous 1978 "Rock Goes To College" program that was filmed at Colchester University on October 28th 1978.

  • Let There Be Rock on TV - 11/23/97
  • Eric Dionysius, co-director of the movie "Let There Be Rock", is currently working on a TV version of the movie for French TV. The movie should be broadcast on French TV for the first time early next year.

  • Bon's Last Recording Broadcast - 11/13/97
  • We warned you ... If you didn't listen to RTL at 11pm, you missed a one-time only world exclusive. Long time friend of Bon and singer of French band Trust Bernie was a guest on the program "Zig Mag." Trust was in London in February 1980 recording their second album at Scorpio studios when Bon visited them on the 13th. They recorded a superb version of "Ride On" together but this tape has never been released and had been heard by very few people. This was Bon's last ever recording. Bernie brought the tape with him and played most of it on the air...

  • RTL Special - 11/12/97
  • Attention French AC/DC fans! Turn on your radio to RTL on Thursday November 13th at 10.30pm. Francis Zegut's "Zig Mag" program will be a one hour AC/DC special. It will feature an interview with Angus & Malcolm recorded in London last October, tracks from "Bonfire", a surprise guest, and a monstruous surprise. Just don't miss it...

  • Bonfire Release Postponed - 11/12/97
  • The release of "Bonfire" has been postponed from November 7th to November 14th in Europe, and there is still no news for a UK release... The Japanese release has been pushed to November 27th.

  • Work on New Album - 11/12/97
  • The band is in London working on the next album that should be released sometime in 1998. Way too early to predict a potential release date, so don't ask. Obviously a world tour should follow.

  • Bonfire Promo - 11/12/97
  • Angus & Brian were in New York at the beginning of November to promote "Bonfire". Among their busy schedule included an appearance on Howard Stern, where they played live; the world premiere of "Bonfire" direct live from Clinton studios in New York City for an Album Network syndicated program on October 31st, and a live chat on America Online.
