  • AC/DC to be inducted in the R&R Hall Of Fame - 11/07/02
  • It was announced today that after being nominated for 3 years in a row, AC/DC has finally been 'elected' to the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame alongside The Clash, Police, Elvis Costello and the Righteous Brothers. The 18th annual induction ceremony will take place March 10th, 2003, at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City, an edited version of the show will air shortly thereafter on VH1. Whether the band will actually perform, let alone attend remains to be seen. AC/DC has always stayed away from all Awards ceremonies and has openly criticized the Hall of Fame. The last time the band performed at such an event goes back to October 1975 when they performed at the Australian TV Week King Of Pop Awards show.
