  • Band in Northern England - 10/23/02
  • Brian Johnson and Malcolm Young were special guests of the Nottingham Panthers Ice Hockey team and performed the ceremonial puck drop when they played the Sheffield Steelers on October 12th. Malcolm, Brian and Cliff have also attended a Nottingham Forrest Football match last month. Although this cannot be confirmed officially, the band has arguably been working in Northern England on a new album - expect a release for next year.

  • Cliff Williams will play 4 club dates in Bosnia, Croatia and Slovenia with THE FROZEN CAMELS PROJECT along with Danny Shepard, Emir Bukovica & Darrel Nutt. The dates are as follows:

  • Brian Johnson on new Jackyl CD - 10/06/02
  • As he did on their 1997 studio CD "Cut The Crap," Brian Johnson co-wrote a tune on Jackyl's new album "Relentless" to be released October 22nd in the US. The track, "Kill The Sunshine" is also the first single off the album. A soundclip of the track is available on their official website at http://www.rockmerollmejackylmeoff.com/soundclips.htm.

  • New film on AC/DC fans - 10/06/02
  • A feature film about the adventures of a group of friends who are fans of AC/DC will be shot in Australia early next year.
    The Film Finance Corporation Australia (FFC) has announced it will invest in the feature film, Thunderstruck, about the adventures of a group of friends who make a pact on the greatest night of their lives - the 1991 Sydney concert of rock band AC/DC.
    Thunderstruck, TNT and It's A Long Way To The Top will be used in the movie.
    Shooting for Thunderstruck is scheduled to begin filming in Western Australia next March and would move to South Australia where shooting is expected to be completed mid-April and release is planned for late 2003.
    The film's executive producer, Al Clark, was the man behind Australian-made box office hit Priscilla - Queen Of The Desert. It is also the first Australian feature film by Mel Gibson's production company, Icon.
    The film's storyline is set in 2001 - ten years after its main characters make their AC/DC concert pact.
    They take to the road to keep their promise that if one of their number dies before they turn 40, they will bury his body next to the grave of their idol, singer Bon Scott.
