  • "Stiff Upper Lip" for Feb. 29th - 1/10/00
  • MTV News just reported the following: "AC/DC has a tentative title and release date for its new album. The veteran Aussie rockers have "Stiff Upper Lip" penciled in for a February 29 release in the U.S. with an as-yet-undetermined single scheduled for late January. Elektra Records confirms that the above dates are on the label's projected schedule. However, a management spokesperson for the band cautions that the release date is likely to change, and that the title is not written in stone." Full story at MTV News.

    Other sources indicate that EastWest France has a release date planned for March 25th. The 1996 Madrid Concert video "No Bull," should also be released on DVD (The band's first) at the same time.

  • Release dates confirmed - 01/19/00
  • Release date of the new album "Stiff Upper Lip" confirmed for February 28th in Europe and February 29th in North America. Above is a copy of the album Ad running in German magazines.

  • Bon Scott tribute concert with Dave Evans - 01/19/00
  • In other news, to coincide with the 20th anniversary of Bon's death, the Australian AC/DC tribute-band Thunderstruck will perform a special Bon Scott memorial concert in Melbourne at the Edwards Tavern on February 19th. AC/DC's original vocalist Dave Evans will also appear with the band and this concert will be recorded for a future CD & video release on Ecstasy records.

  • "Stiff Upper Lip" track listing & Single - 01/24/00
  • The first single off "Stiff Upper Lip" ("Stiff Upper Lip", "Can't Hold Me Back" or "Safe In New York") will be released prior to the album, mid-February. Above is a copy of the artwork which will be used for this release. As for the album sleeve, it should show a picture of the Manneken Pis statue dressed as Angus! The final track listing of the album is as follows:
