Rare Live Tracks

This is a detailed list of all the non-album AC/DC live tracks that have been released on official releases. This list does not include tracks available on Radio-only promo albums (i.e. "Westwood One" releases).
 

DIRTY DEEDS DONE DIRT CHEAP

  • Live in Sydney (Haymarket), Festival Of Sydney 30 January 1977
  • Originally available on promo compilation Lp "Long Live the Evolution", later on compilation Lp "Boogie Balls & Blues" in Australia.
  • Killer and rare version of "Dirty Deeds" that remains unreleased outside Australia.

    DOG EAT DOG

  • Live in Glasgow (Apollo) 30 April 1978
  • Originally released on B-side of Australian 7" single "Whole Lotta Rosie", and B-side of German 7" reissue "Whole Lotta Rosie".
  • From the same gig as most of the "If You Want Blood" album, this B-side is hard to obtain. The Australian single is extremely rare, and the German one is a reissue of the original single with no indication on the sleeve that the reissued version is live, whereas the original was the studio one.

    LIVE WIRE

  • Live in London (Hammersmith Odeon) 2 November 1979
  • Originally released on B-side of UK 7", French and German 7" & 12" single "Touch Too Much", B-side of 7" "Beating Around The Bush" in Benelux.
  • Widely available track from the BBC concert.

    SHOT DOWN IN FLAMES

  • Live in London (Hammersmith Odeon) 2 November 1979
  • Originally released on B-side of UK 7", French 7", French & German 12" single "Touch Too Much", B-side of 7" "Beating Around The Bush" in Benelux.
  • Widely available track from the BBC concert.

    BACK IN BLACK

  • Live Largo (Capitol Centre) 20 or 21 December 1981
  • Available as B-side of UK, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese 7" single "Let's Get It Up", & UK, German, French, Benelux 12" maxi-single "Let's Get It Up".
  • Widely available live version, the first one released with Brian Johnson.

    T.N.T.

  • Live Largo (Capitol Centre) 20 or 21 December 1981
  • Available as B-side of UK, German, French, Benelux 12" maxi-single "Let's Get It Up", and B-side of US, Canadian & Japanese 7" single "For Those About To Rock".
  • First version made available of Brian Johnson singing a Bon Scott classic.

    LET THERE BE ROCK

  • Live Largo (Capitol Centre) 20 or 21 December 1981
  • Short version available as B-side of UK, German, French, Italian, Australian, Benelux 7" single "For Those About To Rock", long version available as B-side of UK, German, French & Benelux 12" maxi-single "For Those About To Rock".
  • Excellent version of this classic.

  • Available on B-side of worldwide 7" single & 12" maxi-single "Who Made Who".
  • Widely available live version.

  • Never available outside Europe.

  • Rare version of this "Flick Of The Switch" track.

    YOU SHOOK ME ALL NIGHT LONG

  • Live Detroit (Joe Louis Arena) 17 or 18 November 1983
  • Only available on B-side of UK, European, Australian, New Zealand 12", US 7" & promo12" of "You Shook Me All Night Long."
  • Rare live version of "You Shook Me All Night Long," where the original live lead vocals seem to have been overdubbed with the studio version.

    JAILBREAK

  • Live Dallas (Reunion Arena) 12 October 1985.
  • Only available on B-side of UK & European 12" "Shake Your Foundations."
  • Extra long version of the track.

    SHOOT TO THRILL

  • Live in Castle Donington Park, "Monsters Of Rock" 17 August 1991.
